Hi - Have a 6310i been hanging around in a drawer for past year that I was hoping to unlock and flog on e-bay. Have unlocked Nokia's before without any problems and have followed the instructions very carefully, but my first three attempts have failed and I'm scared now to do anything without some more consultation!

what do you mean by "failed msg"?
if code is wrong it should say "code error"
try a non o2 sim 1st to make sure it is not already unlocked as some o2 phones are (esp contract ones)
if it is locked these would be my choice

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse - yes the message WAS "code error". Will have to wait until I can put my daughters Vodaphone PAYG sim card in to see if that will work. As I won't be able to do that for a couple of days, is there any other way to tell if it has been unlocked do you know? I did use it on a Contract Tariff, by the way. Thanks very much for the reply - greatly appreciated!

if it was on o2 contract then it is almost certainly unlocked already
