Suitcase came down from the loft this morning so will be packing on Monday. Printed off the boarding passes day before yesterday - how weird that you can check in and get boarding passes ages before you go?!
Are you getting all excited about going away BB?

I keep feeling flutterings of excitement Linda - in so much that I've not had any time off since March so it's great not to have to go to work!! Weather is looking pretty good too - if anything a bit too hot for me - I like 23-24 as a max really but we are right on the seafront so hopefully a nice breeze.

I guess it would be good if I knew OH would be,well, a better companion than he can sometimes be but I'm going to try to not let what he wants to do each dictate the holiday. A pattern is quickly set up of what happens each day of him reading all day until he decides to get ready by which time it's often 2pm so very hot (I would prefer to go out early and come back mid-afternoon to chill), go out for a walk, have a beer, come back, he reads a bit more, we go out for a couple of hours, he moans about the price of restaurants and that he shouldn't have eaten so much, come back.
And obviously the chances of anything vaguely romantic or even getting anywhere near him are still 0%
But hey, I'll be away on holiday and who knows who I'll be taking when I clear off to Majorca for my 40th next year (you never know - a miracle may occur :rotfl: )"Stay Wonky":D

afternoon everyone :hello:
I'm just doing the weekend catch up with the laundry and the tidying up. School is goodI've got a ton of text books here which I'm trying to make a start on, I'm determined to be an A student (I'm a bit sad like that). I'm worried about going onto placement in a few weeks though, my clinical skills are worse than 0. I tried to take hubby's blood pressure the other day but I couldn't figure out which way the stethescope went in my ears and the cuff was either falling off his arm or cutting off his circulation. I'm going to be a right numpty in practice I can tell. Hubs can't wait till I have to practice taking blood... he's going on tour during that week he said.
99% of the people on the course are lovely. There is one woman who scares the life out of me, she's so abrupt. God knows why she decided it was a good career for her, I would have thought she was better suited to being a prison guard personally. We were told yesterday that 1300 people applied for the course and 60 got in. I felt a right fraud for waltzing in on a whim when everyone else had worked for years and had been knocked back several times before they got accepted. I can't help but feel that the admissions people offered me a place by mistake... better keep my head down I think and try not to be noticed:A

Because you deserved a place, simple as that!

I have been drooling over a pair of shoes for a week now. Sigh....they are me in every way - style, colour, material. I'd never wear them though because of the problem with my back/leg in that I can't wear heels anymore.
I want them soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

ooooooo Toto, well done...when I told my friend you had got a place she said it was really hard to get into...but you DO deserve it. The people who interview know exactly what they are looking for and you probably ticked all the right boxes.
