It's now pouring down here - and blowing a gale

Good afternoon folks. Very odd that I've found the time to get online on a saturday! I have ordered a new laptop from the dell outlet place (THANK YOU SAMMY)! Wayne pointed out that I've done a bit of medico-legal work and when I've taken off tax etc and coupled with his overtime then we can call it a birthday and christmas present for me! Not that I needed much persuasion to get it! It became a done-deal when he pointed out that I don't normally get myself the wants and I'll um and ah about the needs, so I feel a bit frivolous getting myself a want item:o I've put it on the american express (1% cashback) and will use some of the money in the savings account to pay it off when the bill comes in next month.
Off to do the shopping this afternoon (and buy Wayne some new trainers - his old ones are almost falling apart)!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

It's blowing a wild and crazy gale out here, branches are strewn about the garden like dead twisted limbs ripped from their torso, the trampoline is considering a future as a hot air balloon and the magpies are hanging on for dear life to their nest which has already done about 3 circuits of the beech tree! The fact that the nest is still in one piece is a testimony to their construction skills.
God I'm poetic arn't I?
It's nice to open the windows and let the fresh air billow through and blow out the cobwebs.

I have to admit that i'm still in bed - just had tea and toast and watching Saturday Kitchen
I was watching that as well. I wanted him to make the mushroom and fresh duck egg thing, my mouth was absolutely slavvering at the pork though.
The contest to cook for the troops makes me laugh, what do a bunch of toffee nosed inbred chefs with the fashion sense of Aunt Bessie know about what ravenous troups want to eat when they return????
They'll scoff the meagre offerings, amuse the cameras then stampede back to the barracks to chow down half a pig!
Now watching the Completely Python extravaganza on Comedy Extra. :T

I don't even know where to start today, there's that much I could/should be doing. It was my housemate Amy's birthday last night (she's 20) so we went to the Hobgoblin in town for a few drinks. I got very close to actually drunk and then me and Hayley (a friend who lives down the road) went and got chips with barbecue sauce and got a taxi home. I'm feeling kind of guilty that I dragged her off early (I was knackered but I didn't want to go on my own) since it turned out she really fancied the guy she was chatting to.
My student loan's through! :j So I'm now sub-1k! :j :j :j I'll update my siggy in a min. The Halifax card is paid off and it's the home stretch now, time to buckle down and get on with paying off the Lloyds card. Thinking about it, I think I can technically count myself as debt free once the Lloyds card is paid off, as my overdraft is interest free so I don't need to worry about paying that back until a year after I've graduated. I'm not counting my student loan so really, there's no reason to count my overdraft. So I'm re-jigging my rewards plan and treating myself to tickets for Wicked now that my Halifax card is paid off and I'll go see Phantom when the Lloyds card is paid off.

blimey, I can't stop yawning. Just done a bit of AQA and had a very superficial dust around. Need to hoover and clean bathroom before I go on holiday. Suitcase came down from the loft this morning so will be packing on Monday. Printed off the boarding passes day before yesterday - how weird that you can check in and get boarding passes ages before you go?!
