I have been shopping - I have decluttered all those things that I have been kidding myself I can slim back into. I have lost no weight whatsoever, so obviously my head isn't in the right place for that. In the meantime I have to stop kidding myself that the size 12 clothes that I have been squeezing myself into do nothing for my appearance or my mental state, as I constantly see how they are straining at the seams and feel crappy about it.

So they have all gone to the bin/charity shop as appropriate.....I have therefore taken my £100 I got as a bonus from work the other week, and have bought two pairs of jeans (size 16.......no wonder my size 12s were not comfortable :o), from Next a casual skirt and a new pair of PJs from M&S , and a whole load of t-shirts and sweaters from primark. I have got quite a lot for my £100 and will look a whole lot more presentable than I have been.

Sadly, I will need to do the same with my work wardrobe, which will be more expensive.....so that will have to wait for a while. But at least my weekend clothes are more presentable.

Though that is good that you're buying clothes more your size... I can't help but think what with the 'Mother Hubbard territory' and the running that you should be smaller by now, even just a little.

Are you sure it's not a thyroid thingy? I'm getting tested for that as we speak!

**Edit: This is not meant to be a cuss or a diss in any way shape or form just that, as we have all been reading your diaries for so long now, it feels like we need to be worried about you because we need to be! **

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

I think my head just isn't in the right place for losing weight right now - I need to take control of my eating/exercise just as I need to take control of everything else, but I can't do it "on demand" much as I would like to!

So, I have sort of accepted that October is the month when I get in control of the housework (so far so good) and that once I am in control of that, I will be ready to tackle the next area of my life, which will hopefully be the diet/exercise stuff. Routine, and good habits need to be formed again.....

If THAT doesn't work, I will def go to the docs, but first I need to get my head together, if that makes sense, just so I know for sure that it is not just me making excuses (again). I do know that I am the heaviest I have ever been, right now, and it is not so very long ago that I was 2.5 stone lighter

Not sure if that makes sense, but I think it does!

Your housework is really coming together now.
October is my month to do the housework and then hopefully get a routine going for it.
Good news on the teaching thingy and am glad you've got work stored on your computer for it so shouldn't take you too long to prepare.

I did remember doing lots of notes before, on this particular workshop topic but I couldn't remember initially where they were stored. Thankfully they are on the laptop so easily modified. It will be another square coloured in, so has to be worth doing :p

Morning all - the end of another week is here!

Today I am off work, as I pick up the kids at lunchtime and make the long trek up north for the weekend.

So this morning will be a matter of doing flylady (of course - it is such an integral part of my life now :rotfl:), colouring my hair to make me more of a yummy mummy than a slummy mummy, loading up the car, buying snacks and drinks for the journey and to keep costs down when we are up there, and bits and bobs like that.

Scratches gave me 20p today, and banking shows nothing worth mentioning.......MSE wise, my aim is not to be silly with my spending this weekend - it has the potential to be expensive, and I must remain focused so that it remains sensible.

I hope you all have a good day x

It will be tiring - I am not so keen on long journeys as my shoulders/neck ache, but if they win (competitive, me?? Never!), then it will be very much worth it.
