So....banking produced £41 teaching money, £20.50 BB winnings.....all directly paid into the ski pot. I also won £13 on BB this morning, so that will come through hopefully by the end of the week.
This week sees my 3rd MSE birthday.......and the numbers are therefore as follows:
Total debt - mortgage and all other debt - £196,069.95
Total unsecured debt (the original amount I was aiming to clear when I joined MSE) - £11,529.17
Total non-mortgage debt....the "old signature" - £21,066.44
Aims: 1. Obviously, get the kids skiing - still £1500 to find there, but am hoping that we get a Christmas bonus which will cover it *crosses fingers*
2. Have total debt at £175,000 (which is essentially just the mortgage) before November 9th, which is when I hit 40. At that point, I will declare myself debt free.
That means paying off capital of £1,915 on average every month between now and the end of October.
Once the children's ski money is sorted, I am back to throwing as much as I can at the debt - I have to believe that £1915 is workable, when my minimum payments were more than that when I joined this site, and I managed to pay them, and on a lower income too.......

Oh, and the original "proper" aim for housemoving is when the mortgage is at £125,000........just so you can see how far out I am when I am producing the property !!!!!!......in real terms, it would be silly to consider moving much before that point, and certainly not while we have other non-mortgage debt.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. You've done amazingly well.......:T:T:T
And a big thank you from me.....without your diary and your help I wouldn't be where I am financially as you've kept me focused. I feel it would the right thing to do to dedicate my £10 BB win to you this morning....you're not having it though :rotfl:xx0 -
Lol mudbath! You can treat yourself to some jaffacakes with the winnings instead......that would be good enough for me! Well done on the win!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
