Fantastic for the £100 win! Well done!

Hypno, you're going great guns too, thats excellent. I can't run outside either, EH - my shingles pain starts up in my teeth, and doesn't let up for about 3 hours, it would ruin the whole evening. But I too have a cross trainer :o Not now, of course - I'm so ill! Really really really!

I found it easier when I had a friend to go swimming and gym with, you couldn't let them down even when you weren't in the mood.

Anyway I got dressed into exercise kit this morning, so the plan is to try and fit the exercise into the daily routine so it becomes automatic, just hope it works!!

A £50 payment to my mortgage which I have set up as a standing order, has gone, taking my secured debt (mortgage plus secured loan) to a few pennies under £185k :D

The idea is that I will gradually increase the £50 standing order month by month so that the difference is not noticable to my budgets but that it will creep up and make a bigger more noticable difference to my mortgage. I want, over the next year, (assuming we don't get anywhere with the new build idea) to get that extra payment up to £800 per month, as that will take my total payment per month to the same amount as a new mortgage would cost, thereby showing the building society that we can manage the increased payments on an affordability basis.

So, £50 is some way short, but it is a decent start!!

    Oh poor Hypno,

Do you know why you're not sleeping? Are you worrying or playing various scenarios over in your head? it certainly isn't lack of activity during the day. I'm glad your holiday is very soon and hope you take the opportunity to relax and undwind as you clearly need a good rest.

Hypno - don't you just hate going to bed early and then lying there awake!!!! Why is it that you can go to bed tired but then 'zing' you're wide awake. Great idea about the mortgage. We can make one overpayment a year and that can be 10% of the mortgage (I wish!!). Once we've got a new car I'm going to set up a direct debit each month so I've got a lump sum to pay off it - even if it's only £20 a month it will add up.

Hope you're all having a good day (no BB win for me today)xx
