Sundowner - what's a CG number? Should I have one?:rotfl: I love the idea of you sending money to the dog charity instead of cards. Have you heard anything about the dog?

Hypno - i'll be sending 'the right announcement' vibes tomorrow. I've not been following the claiming back charges issue as, despite being close to the wire, the only charges we've had have been handed back when we've phoned up and complained (I think they all just do this once though!). Good luck xx

As for the run - I have some serious catching up to do eva, but I ache so so much - muscle memory? I think my muscles would rather forget :rotfl:

Oh, and I am pleased to say that in the last 18 months, I have only had 2 charges.......both for silly oversights on my part, so won't complain about those.....but it is a far cry from the 5 or 6 charges PER DAY that we were getting when things were at their worst :o

So thats really hammers home how much you have turned things round in such a short period of time:D

It makes such a difference - as much as anything, I no longer fear the postman coming down the path :o

We were never unlucky enough to have your level of debt but now money doesn't scare me or worry me anymore - and I feel much more able to cope with what life throws at me! Now I always know how much to expect on my bills and have worked really hard to reduce them and balance transfer etc where possible...

I am so grateful for this site. I would also like to say thank you again hypno for all the effort you go to to welcome newcomers to the site and explain things and support them - I think you are amazing:T:T:T

I was a newcomer once, myself - and beanielou, taxi and slowlyfading were on my very first thread making me feel welcome.

If I can do a little bit of the same, then that's good enough for me, although I will admit that since the diaryboard split off, I don't post on so many "first timers" threads now.

yep muscles aching too, but going to try and go again tomorrow - blowing a gale outside tonight.

Will listen out with interest for the banking charges announcement - although from experience of working in the legal world it will not be a quick process even if the decision is positive ... even though, I do hope the news is positive for all those who have a claim in x

Hi Hypno fingers crossed for a positive outcome for tomorrow. A quick question, did you have to find every statement detailing the charges or is there a template letter to send?

    Thanks

emlofr - I don't expect a cheque to land on my doormat any day soon, but if we can make another step in the right direction, then that will be good enough at this stage!

lucielle - I got all my template letters from here - you can ask the bank for your last 6 or 8 years of bank statements - some charge £10 but well worth it.......click on the "reclaim £000s" tab at the top of the boards and get started.......:D
