Sea sory to hear about your BF and hope that the specialist will find a cure xxxhugs for you xxx
Hypno..hugs for you too as you sound so fed up today.I guess DH was trying to be helpful by doing the shopping..unfortunately he's probably like mine and unless it says value on the list then he'll buy what he fancies..
Sounds like you really need that holiday.

Yes, that holiday is going to be very much appreciated.

I have given myself a kick up the backside, and have done the pile of ironing that had taken over the lounge.........my mood is definitely not helped by the state of the house, and although flylady is helping, it needs energy to do it as much as I really need......so it is better than it was, but not as tidy as it should be. I am ashamed that this week, for the first week since I began flylady, my bedroom is untidy, so I must crack that tomorrow, otherwise I really will be entering a circle of negativity.....

So, the lounge ironing has gone, (the spare room ironing still remains) but at least I can say I have done *something*.

Ironing is very time consuming so well done.
Maybe your bedroom won't take long as you say it's untidy so probably doesn't need much doing.

Hi taxi - OH was trying,..........he says he checked the prices on the shelves, but sadly he didn't check that what he was actually picking up and putting in the trolley was the same as the lower priced item on the shelf label.......and then he didn't pick up the whopping price difference as they went through the till, or cast his eye over the receipt before he left the store......Eg, 4 tins of John West Tuna is £2.60 ish on offer at the moment - fair enough, I usually buy value tins at 57p each, but not too much difference there.........but he actually bought Princes tuna which is NOT on offer, and failed to notice the £5.63 that was rung through the till......similarly, I do feel that £6.23 for toilet rolls is a tad on the high side......although he says that he was sure they were one of the cheapest......

So we ended up with him thinking he had done really well and picked bargains, and me saying "you paid HOW MUCH??!!".

So, yes, he was trying to help, but in hindsight it would have been more help had I just done the shopping as usual in the first place. We ended up having spent £70 on very very little.

My bedroom won't take long to do - just a bit of effort needed. Or a cleaner :rotfl:

Hypno, keep the receipt and take them back when you go next time. You may need to get some more in the meantime but that is a lot of money on those items :o But bless him for trying :D

I do feel a bit mean for being in a grump about it when he was trying to help, but I couldn't really help my reaction.......gone are the days when I would just think "oh well never mind" - the budget doesn't allow for that. I won't be back there for another week, so will have to make the effort to keep those things back and take them with me. A hassle, but one that has to be done. I just wish he "got it".......but of course, like many OH's on here, he tries, but it isn't quite the same!

Oi you. :naughty: You need to be a bit kinder to yourself. You can't run at 100mph every last second of every day. It helps no one if you go off with a bang.

I've not even been at a slow jog recently, Z, yet alone a 100mph run!!

I do know, though, that I have to take more care of myself.......I just need to take my own advice sometimes :o
