this is why sarah is my elected Financial Guru ;)

As to buying clothes because we want them rather than need them ... hmmmm that sounds slightly familiar :o

sorry to bleat on about this again but have been checking out my Barclaycard balance transfer offer & I can transfer a maximum of £3780 as they 'have to make sure that there is still space left on the card to spend ' :rotfl:their words not mine

    Good evening everyone....

Firstly before I'm too late... HAPPY BIRTHDAY YARGO  Hope you're feeling better and enjoyed your day.

Sarah I can't imagine how annoyed you are about your quidco  not good when you know others have received theirs. I don't know of I'm doing something wrong but I've been a member for over a year and I only have £2.87 in my payments. Although when I sign on it says I have £52.13. I just don't get it

Well I got weighed yesterday (will also post on shoe gal's diary in a bit) I was suprised that I've lost 5lb this month :j I really wasn't expecting it atall. it now takes me to 17st 2lb so my aim for next month is 4lb. In the back of my mind I'm hoping to lose alot more than that but I just want to see the scales saying 16st something, I'm not too fussed what the other number is I just love the feeling of going into the next stone range.
I'm aiming to go to the gym 4 times a week up until xmas.

Greenday were AMAZING lastnight, my legs are killing me today, I don't think I've ever bounced so much (yes I had a bounce for you Lula :D)

    Thanks :A

But you're concentrating and doing so well on the debt busting at the moment and it's really hard to focus on them both. Once you've decided what to do about your CC's then you'll be able to concentrate on the weight loss. I'm glad you got such good advice on the CC's :A

You will get there, one step at a time. Remember no take aways this week will help you on your way. I'm going to try no take aways this week too (well unless someone else pays :D)

I am so excited about having a new plan to put into action, it's quite pathetic :o

I still dont totally understand how the balance transfer works :confused:but as it will only cost me £50 to do it - which is currently 2 months interest on that card - then it's got to be worth it :D

I am due a new statement from the card I want to transfer in the next couple of days so will wait for that then pay whatever is necessary to get the balance down to £2,000 which is nice neat figure to transfer & can then cry for while as my Barclaycard balance soars again

I also read a thread about a guy who cleared his CC by using all his wages to clear the card every month & then used it for his everyday purchases. As he knew it was all going back on the CC again, he made every effort possible to spend as little as possible on it.

I am thinking of using this tactic with the Co op card so I still get cashback & points but also pay off a chunk each month & hopefully motivate myself to not overspend.

Never has a CC statement been so eagerly anticipated :rotfl:

Haha... I hope there's no more strikes from Royal Mail!

It is great having a new plan. Yes it's definately worth doing your BT. Could you set up a DD on your co-op card to go out for the full amount each month, that way you can't spend anymore than you actually have.

I've not long transferred onto my Barclaycard and it all went through really quickly.
Do you have it all set up online? I find that helps me alot, really easy to make PAD's to aswell.

I know exactly what you mean, I am ridiculously excited too, am full of all sorts of plans and schemes to move things about/close things. :D I am hoping to have no loan at all by the end of the year and only one cc. Am desperate to get all my plans into action and see a huge amount in my sig:D

Bowski - I'm all online for everything -yes, I am a sad sad woman with no life other than manically checking all her accounts :o

Glad to hear that your balance transfer went through smoothly, although have to say in the past I've found that Barclycard took ages to update my account online which was one of the reasons I stopped the PAD - I was getting so confused it drove me mad

Funny thing about this postal strike ... It has put me off buying stuff online, cant bear the waiting. I was waiting for nearly 2 weeks for a pair of boots from ebay ... when they finally arrived the post mark was only 2 days earier so not sure if that was due to the strike or seller posting very late

Either way, the boots were only £14.95 & the postage was free, they fit perfectly & are almost brand new so although not my first choice they are fine for now & a mere £75 cheaper than the ones I saw in River Island.

Perhaps this amount 'saved' could now be justifiably used to buy that £70 bag I saw in M & S :D

sarah - I am so grateful to you for fab advice :Abut now wonder if it's very wrong that I am more excited by having a new plan to play with rather than the actual debt busting bit :o What on earth will I do when there are no debts left to be paid :(

Must go to bed before I burst with excitement. Will be checking Capital One online every hour tomorrow :rotfl:

    night night all
    xx
