    HAPPY BIRTHDAY YARGO!!
I hope you feel better and were able to enjoy your day at least a little bit!

I've had a fun weekend, it's my birthday on Tuesday so some friends of mine treated me to Thai food last night and then we went back to their flat for wine, birthday cake and lots and lots of dancing in the living room. At point we put on Kate Bush 'Wuthering Heights' and I did a 'hilarious' interpretative dance based on the chorus(ie. I stood on their balcony on the other side of their french windows and pretended to be cold and begged to be 'let in at the window' ) Am somewhat dreading the photos......

I've got to tidy up now as my friend is staying tomorrow night after a gig (another a b'day pressie - am a very lucky girl!) ...just not in the mood, would rather watch rubbish tv and eat junk food......
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Forgot to mention, my Quidco email arrived at 10.58 last night - £40 :jSarahb- could they be running late?? Could you get an email today or was yesterday the absolute deadline for this month???

Gwen - am outraged on your behalf re: Tescos. I've never heard of 'ghost' payments and surely it would have come off by now if this was the case  I definitely think a strongly worded letter is due to them now.

Lula - I think Sarah has given you best options on credit card stuff, all seems to make a lot of sense. Very good advice.

Just checked and it has all rolled over to November:mad: Some of it was validatd in June, with a proposed payment of September:mad:. I think I will have to raise a ticket, this is getting silly now, not to mention annoying.

ShoeGal, glad you got yours, it's exciting when you get your first payment:j

Happy birthday Yargo, hope you are having a good day despite the lurgy.

    Hi!

Happy Birthday Yargo! :bdaycake: Hope you've managed to have a good day despite the lurgy and you'll be ready to celebrate properly next weekend!

Does anybody here use spendingdiary.com? I've just set myself up with an account and I'm hoping it'll really help me keep track of where my money is going (I suspect clothes :o).

Last night sounds fun, makeup. I definitely intend to write a letter to Tesco after all this. Just checked my current account again and the £65 'ghost payment' hasn't gone back into my account and the 2x £14.03 payments aren't showing on my statement yet either, so I've got to wait to sort it all out. Quite annoying though, because the longer I wait to sort it out the more likely I am to forget about it :o

Definitely raise a ticket Sarah, they should move it along for you.

Right, I'm gonna put a face mask on and watch 'Dreamgirls' :D

    Gwenx

Grrr, I wrote a long message and it didn't post:mad: Anyway, I have made my first payment, £11 to my quidco account which I have been borrowing from:o. I have decided to make a payment a day so that every day I am a few steps closer to my target. I have worked out I need to pay around £54 a day:eek: on average, but I am going to ignore that figure and just press on.

My first targets are going to be fill the ISA on the credit side and clear the Barclaycard on the debit side, I paid the money to the quidco account today as that leaves me with a round figure owing there. Any cash, as opposed to money appearing in my account, will go to the house fund, I have my piggy which is part of the sealed pot challenge which we are supposed to open in December, but I might wait until it is full before I do that.

I will not count points, vouchers etc as they will not be reducing my debts, I will just use those for treats.

I just hope I can keep up this level of determination and not give up along the way, I know what I am like:o. The only way I can do this is to keep track every single day, even one day of missing an update to my target is going to throw me off track. I will do this:D

I did weigh myself and have lost nothing:o On the plus side I haven't put any on and I have been very lazy this week and not even trying:o. However I am going to be very sensible this week, no take aways or rubbish food and I am going to aim for 2lbs.
