Oh no Yargo! I was the same the other week. It's horrible when you're ill, can't go out and see people and there's nobody there to make you a cup of tea. Hang around here, I'm sure people will be around throughout the day. Get well soon and Happy Birthday!

Gwenx[/Thanks for that hun, yeah it seems to be doing its rounds everywhere at mo! Cant have them coming here as most have kiddies and so its not fair if they were to catch it. Also my eyes and nose are streaming and i look far from pleasant!!

But am going to concentrate on being well for next saturday instead...

Yep, no one to make a cuppa or food or runa bath... The joys of being single!!! ]

  • Happy birthday for tomorrow Yargo! hope you feel better soon- you'll have to make up for it next weekend!
I'm off to Florida for 17 days-so excited now, just spent hours ironing but i've finally got my suitcase packed, all my tickets are ready, just the waiting now! Trying to make sure the house is spotless cos when I come back it's only 4/5 weeks til christmas and work is going to be manic, so thought if I get everything deep-cleaned now, I could just keep doing the flylady til christmas. So all my cupboards, etc, have been cleaned and organised, got a massive shopping list ready for when I get back, my bedding needs washing and putting back on 1st thing in morning- hooray for tumble dryers! I know they're expensive to run but I would be lost without mine! I always think it's so nice to get back off holiday and climb under nice fresh clean bedding...

I so hate that, I can manage diasters eg car by myself, but it's the little things I hate like having no one to make a fuss of you when you're ill.icon9.gif I hope you are feeling better now, what a rubbish way to spend your birthdayicon9.gif, make sure you treat yourself doubly (is that even a word?) well next weekend to make up for it. :D

I have checked quidco again and all the money which was supposed to pay out in October is still showing as validated but not paid, so I think it is going to roll over to next month again:mad: This has happened for 2 months now.

    Hello sarah,

I am having a cup of tea first & then will do as you suggest :T, I think my salt levels need to be readjusted so am thinking maybe a packet of crisps to go with wine ;)

I've just checked my quidco account & inspite of there being a payment due it has not appeared  another oddity is that the pet insurance which tracked immediately is now listed as being received twice on 2 separate dates but not validated . This is the first hiccup I've had so far with quidco & I hope not a sign of things to come :(

I need to tot up my months spending _pale_ & am then going to make a very martyrish payment to CC3.

Just to check I am doing the right thing here :

Although Barclaycard is the most expensive interest rate ( not by much though) the 0 % deal on CC3 runs out on December 18th & I've just realised that this card gives me cashback when I spend on it & also points as I'm a co operative member.

Am I doing the sensible thing in paying this off before interest rate kicks in so that if i do need to use a card it is this one rather than Barclaycard ?

    - Yes, I have awarded you financial guru status :D

Oh dear. If I am your finacial guru there is no hope for you:D

I would pay the barclaycard as every time you make a payment on that you are lowering the amount of money you have to pay interest on. I would concentrate on that and then when it is clear I would ring and ask if they have any special offers on at the moment, eg 0%, or a life of balance transfer at a low rate,(they usually do) this would then free up the Co-op card if you needed to do any spending. You could then do your day to day spending on the Co-op card, set up a dd to pay it in full each month, thus getting the points and cashback and not paying any interest.
