good luck with your date Makeup, here's to many more to come.
I know your right about not looking at sales websites, just can't seem to help myself, it's that grabbit board, anyway I've done 2 months so far trying not to get too optomistic that I'll achieve my goal of not buying any carp, but this is the best I've ever done.0 -
Hi all, my back door now shuts and locks, the solaglas company coming back to remould the plastic frame, only bits damaged and on the window too.
insurance company have not asked me for £50 excess yet. Not even a claim form. but as they never broke in i dont know how they recoup the money.
They havent even been in touch since it happened.
So off work now till the 9th. more time to enter comps and a man is fixing my gate for £50 (mum is paying), then will get my security lights sorted too so my yard is lit up like a xmas tree and over my car.
On friday I am off out with my work colleague for cocktails in mcr starting around 5pm. think i will be drunkish. my friend is 60 and is ace fun to be around, ive told her im out of practice flirting.:)Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -
I'm glad you're getting it all fixed, the security lights should make you feel a lot safer
I'm rushing round like a mad thing atm, got two jobs on the go and I'm trying to move house, it's a wee bit crazy! ^^^ not likely my sisters friend works for Asda.
Been going out a bit too much drinking at weekends so decided I'm giving alcohol up for Lent, everyone thinks I'm either mad or I won't be able to manage it, I'll do it cos I need to get more gardening done and I'm not doing an awful lot sleeping on the sofa cos I have a hangover, but also realised if i get a barge I'll miss the gardening a bit too much so going to find out where the nearest allotments will be and hopefully I'll get one.0 -
hi Eco, that's my worry about a boat as well. I've been vaguely thinking about it as house prices where I live are insane and I just don't want to live in a brick shoebox that would cost 4 times as much as a very nice boat. I don't need much space for me except the book collection lol. But I would miss the garden and am a bit worried about learning all the practical stuff - it took me ages to learn to drive so am not sure about boat handling!!
I think an allotment and a boat sounds like a great combo though

I am soooo proud of myself :j
Have just paid my car tax as soon as I got the reminder, for a full year which saved £11 compared to buying two six-month discs, with a debit card which saved £2.50 in place of the credit card... and all because I had the money saved up in a separate account - just ready and waiting!:D:D And I will have more ready and waiting by the time the insurance is due!! *feels faint* :rotfl:
Sorry, just had to share that excitement with someone who might understand :rotfl:
Big MSE :heartpuls:heartpuls ... I also just fitted the free water-saving aerating shower head found via the email from a couple of weeks ago, and should shortly have a TV powersaver plug for £3 arriving from this weeks version.
I haven't even immediately spent the £13.50 on something else. Am I sickening for something? Have I had a revelation? A proper LBM? Maybe this debt busting thing is possible after all...
