Fab, I saw tons of teachers there. Great to see such a mix of people and from all over the country.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Hi all, been busy and not posting, and I've given alcohol up for Lent and for some reason I feel really tired, but roll on the 24th when it ends. Been on a couple more dates and it seems to be going well, can't work out why tho, I keep putting the brakes on, think it's cos I'm not used to meeting a lad that seems to be ok and not a complete ididot, I work with enough idiots.
Lula well done on been DF, you must be so chuffed, and I noticed you've started a new diary but haven't had time to read it yet. Got to go going to watch that new thrifty programme missed it last week, want to see if they can teach me something.0 -
I gave up worrying for Lent - originally a joke, but turning out to be a blooming good idea. Hadn't realised how much time I wasted on it lol.
Congrats Dan, hope your new job's going well.

It's fab ta - lovely welcoming people, a happy and positive atmosphere, and working 9-5 rather than shifts is AMAZING. I haven't had this much energy since I was at college!RosaBernicia wrote: »I gave up worrying for Lent - originally a joke, but turning out to be a blooming good idea. Definitely - change what you can, forget about what you can't. Worrying never helped anyone.0 -

Sounds great :j know what you mean about 9-5, am readjusting to it now not having to do 5 hour commute 3 days a week for college... also have sudden energy burst so house is tidy for first time in months and garden to be tackled next!Definitely - change what you can, forget about what you can't. Probably true, but never been good at the forgetting bit. Somewhat stubborn and accustomed to getting what I want eventually :rotfl:

I love working 9-5, getting up at a reasonable time on a morning and home by 5.20 it's great.
My mum used to say I cared too much about what other people thought, when she died I seemed stop caring as much, and I felt better for it, looking after yourself and family and friends is more important than worrying what the world and his mother thinks.0 -
New discovery today - local second hand furniture warehouse :j some good bits in among the junk - bought a sofabed for £45 that's in better nick than the current one from landlord! V annoyed I didn't know about it when I paid out for the Ikea futon!
And I love Groupon :heartpuls ... today they gave me cupcakes AND Quidco cashback

Hello everybody, thought I'd swing by and catch up :j
Well I am angry with my banks... Why does the Australian economy bloody have to keep going up... I think I'd be hard pressed to find many other places with 19.5% interest rates on cards
However I'm hearing back tomorrow as to whether I'll be helping out at Fashion Week this year... I think some flirting with the buff male models is just what I need to distract me from wallowing in self pity:rotfl:

Happy Easter! :easter_os
Thought I'd drop by and say 'Hello'. I'm currently mooching about with a coffee and the paper before I watch a bit of Badminton on the TV and then go round to my friends. We were planning to BBQ, but the weather isn't looking quite so great now.
Off on holiday next week, so I'm looking forward to that. Work is crraazzzy, too busy and I'm falling back into the bad habit of working late. I hate going home knowing I still have a pile of stuff to sort out and I'm falling behind. Had a dream last night that I was made redundant and was trying to figure out what else I could do. Think it might be a bit of a sign that I need to think about what I really want to do and take steps to get there.
Still saving for the house renovations and praying for a lottery win so that I can ditch the place and move into a nice new pad...
Hope you're all doing well and having lovely Easter weekends
