Well done on your tax disc Rosa, when I first passed my test 17 years ago, I used to save £10 a week towards tax and stuff for the car.
My big news is I've went on a date last Thursday and went really well, so well were going out again next Thursday, strange thing is he goes in the same pub I go in and I never noticed him till the other week when he bought me a drink, I was talking to this lad I've known for years when the landlady put a SoCo down in front of me, I said I haven't ordered that and she pointed to him, so who knows really early days and all that.
My next news is got a £50 bonus at work for an idea i'd had to save paper, and 1 of the lads at work offered me £2 to give him a lift home Friday, he then said they were doing a sweepstake for Cheltenham, £2 a horse, gave him the £2 back and he picked Denman out for me, which came 2nd so I won £6. TBH think I was more giddy about the money than the date, but it means I have to update my spends on the Clothes Challenge.0 -
Great news on both the date & the free money eco.
Sadly, I can do Crystaltipps with no effort whatsoever .. this is why god is a woman, who invented hair straighteners0 -
Hurrah for hot date Eco
Not convinced about straighteners but that may be because I haven't really spent the time on them to get the hang of it. Still aiming for the pre-Raphaelite theme as you're right Souk, this wasn't my best look...

Hello all - I hope everyone's well.
I just finished my last shift after 19 years with the same employer (I started when I was 10) and now have a week to find a flat in London before starting my new job on the 4th.
Exciting times! And also I wanted to bump the thread to remind you all to post on it.0 -
Congratulations Dan! Exciting times indeed. How is everyone else doing?
I'm currently trying to sort my life out... I survived the last few months (those of you who saw my thread will know what I'm talking about). I am excited that I'm over 50% on my second savings target and I'm even more excited that I'll have paid off my Student Loan by the end of May! At last!
I've got a big holiday planned for the end of the year, so really looking forward to that too
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Great news Gwen - glad that life is looking up again for you & congrats on savings target too

Good news re: job Dan.
And fab to see you back Gwen, I didn't keep up on your other thread but glad to see you survived the whole thing.
I went on the anti-cuts march today. Amazing turnout, really good atmosphere and I had a fab time although my feet ache and am now chilling out with some wine and a DVD with my flatmate.
We just watched this thing on BBC3 about dance crazes which was brilliant and really annoying in that it is one of those countdown things and only went half way with another programme next week. We were right in the mood to watch the whole thing!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
I went on the march too Make Up!
It was really good!
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0
