    Hello all:)

Lula, I can only presume the 4 new pairs of shoes are for 4 separate occasions, each needing vastly different foorwear. I'm thinking rock climbing, scuba diving, marathon running and ballroom dancing?:p

ShoeGal, well done on the weight loss:j Glad you have your holiday to look forward to.:)

Make up, am getting v jealous re your house but at least it is spurring me on:)

I've had a lovely weekend, very busy but lots of fun and didn't really spend very much either:D. Resisted the urge to do any clothes shopping and am looking at a new frugalista plan. I really hate feeling like this, I know I don't have a huge amount of debt but I hate having any at all. I know that a year of being very frugal indeed would sort everything but I keep losing track. I am going to try to start again from Monday and try to take it seriously this time. I think cash only is the best way for me, along with making do with what I have and just not looking at anything in the shops at all. It's only a year. I know I can do it. I keep saying it but I need to take it seriously. I have a reasonable salary, it should be easy and I do like finding cheaper/free ways of doing things.

So, on the debt free road this week I have completed 2 surveys for £3 each and received 2 free Twinings teabags:j. Off to the freebies board to see what else I can get:D

Hmmmmm you're doing that freaky mind reading thing to me now :( please go back to haunting Buffy & leave me to my shameful ebay addiction.

Which, by the way, I blame entirely on you :p. I hadnt been on there for ages until you started selling everything & doing so brilliantly :D.

I now have to go & sign up to The Dragon s new challenge ...

    Hello all:)

I have the next 4 days off so contemplating what to do with them that is cheap and easy I suspect I will use them for another big declutter though:(

I have decided to stop ebaying for now, I have about £40 in my paypal account which needs to be transferred out and have a couple of things listed which didn't sell at the weekend but apart from that I am sick to death of it and have sold most of my small easily posted things already. I need to have another big clear out and start listing clothes and anything else I find which I may have missed but am going to leave it for a couple of months as I need a break.

I have given myself a new mini challenge, I have put £100 in my purse and am going to see how long I can make it last for. This is just for everything that doesn't come out of my account by dd or any bills/petrol, so mainly food/going out/books/clothes/magazines/alcohol etc. Am going to cheat straight away by doing some shopping which I should have done at the weekend but didn't get round to (so therefore doesn't count as I should technically have it in the house:p) and I have a voucher for £4 off £20 spend so will stock up on a few things. After that I will see how long I can stretch out £100 from 1st June.

Other debt free things today, have absolutely no food in except for tins and packets but went to Tesco and got a bag of reduced new potatoes and 3 packs of reduced sandwiches for £2 which will last me today and tomorrow, found 7p:D for my sealed pot, collected a £2 lottery win, also for pot, got 5 piggy points, ordered 2 books off amazon which I needed and did today so I won't have to use my £100:) using the nectar site so will get points for that and have parcelled up what is hopefully almost the last of the ebay things for now.

Hope everyone has had a lovely day off:)

Well done butterflies on your comp win:j

  • Well went on my date, felt really nice and pretty, he was very different than me, he liked to stay in a lot and eat a lot and i was the opposite. We chatted friendly and laughed a bit but there was no spark whatsover and I guessed from his reaction that he did not like my hobby as being into my little car. Anyway we shook hands and he offered me a lift home but i said no as I lived five mins walk away and I really did not want to be in a car with someone I hardly knew.

Anyway stupid me did the most stupid thing of all and i was typing a text to my friend dave 'my date was boring' and sent it by accident to the guy I just met:eek:. I sent another saying it was not meant for him but then I got a angry text back saying do not contact me again.

How could i press a wrong button! I deserved that text back. Felt so stupid I obviously was not thinking straight.

Feel really bad now. Bad girl!

    Hey All

I've not been posting much recently.

I had a great weekend though, went to a friend's place on Fri evening, she has lots of furniture which she no longer needs (she's on her 3rd house already!) and has said I can have. I'm so lucky, it will practically furnish my flat so I don't need to buy anything apart from a bed.

Plus she asked if I would be godmother to her very cute daughter, the Christening is in 2 weeks so another event to look forward to :j:beer:

Then Saturday went out with my Gay BF and it was my surprise for him, we went to a really nice restuarant with views over London (toptable deal!) then we wandered around a market and then we went to SATC 2 whcih was a big surprise for him and we both loved it!!! Sooo much fun. I miss the girls!

I was cross though as a while ago got vouchers for a spa through mycitydeal.com I'm sure when I got them they didnt' have restrictions on who can go in but now they only have Sundays or Weds evenings as mixed sessions so we couldn't go on Saturday. Luckily we both have a Sunday free before the vouchers finish :j

Then Sunday I stayed in and tried to get on with my packing but it is annoying me as I have no where to put the boxes once they're packed!!!

Then Monday I went to a friends place for a BBQ birthday party for her son's 1st birthday. It was 'smug married' overload though, there were about 15 kids there with their parents and there were only 2 single ladies (myself & my friend).....aargh! It was a bit much but luckily the pimms jug didn't empty.....and I did my duty by showing my face.

I also found literally the most amazing cake stand as a gift for my friend who is giving me the furniture. I know (hope...) she will love it!!

I'm slightly panicked about my finances and should probably try and find a good way to budget for everything and work out what i need and where my money is coming from.....

I've committed to quite a few things this year which means it's gonna be an amazing year but definitely going to be tight moneywise.....

Oh well, 2011 can be a year of frugality for me!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
