Hey Buffy, what about hareem type trousers, they look good with gladiator sandals or heels? Or what about nice boot cut/wide leg black trousers? Sure you can get them in Next/Dotty P's for about £20/£30.
Just catching up on the last few days and contemplating going for a walk. Will post later X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Thanks Soul xx Don't do fashionable in any sense of the word. Generally look like a badly dressed librarian from the 70's.
Will check out DP and Next xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
I've got good few pairs of dark grey, browns and navy boot cut trousers, generally with a faint pin stripe or check through them, mostly originally from Jane Norman or Zara (but usually bought in charity shop or ebay
) I'm 5'3 so the pin stripe is in the vain hope I look taller
.
(Failing that, the 5' heels will do it.)

Hello niccatw
welcome to the madness of SAID (aka Frugality & Fabulousity or Wine Chocolate & Shoes)
If no one's about, that's because we're all secretly lurking over on the marriages board; feeling relieved that we can read about it without having to actually live it.
Oh hush my cynical mouth - am all out of Gordon, no wine in the fridge & waiting for square shaped water to turn into ice cubes
Single & loving it - having a fab flirtationship with really funny guy at work - it wont progress beyond that & that's the beauty of it.
Gwen -sorry to hear about the POF man :grouphug:.
Dont think of it as being dumped though; that would only apply if you had actually been seeing them for some time in a mutually agreed relationship. A guy you meet through a dating site is essentially a stranger that you are getting to know & you really shouldnt think of them as 'yours' until you have spent a considerable amount of time with them & you have both decide that you want to make some form of commitment.
If you want a serious relationship with like minded people then you would probably be better off using one of the sites with a proper matching system, & you would expect to pay for that, when it to dating sites, you tend to get what you pay for.
I dont want to see your hopes & expectations dashed when you're already feeling a bit low. You are worth so much more :A.0 -

any suggestions? am 5.4 and a size 14- 16 and I very much like breathing. Oh and boot cut jeans suit me very well

Boot cut trousers are very flattering. I also like wide leg worn with serious heels (otherwise they look a bit clown ish) M&S have a good choice and not too trendy (and therefore date quickly)
And I think black rather than denim jeans look really smartSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

I love black jeans - smart, slimming and make you look taller - what's not to like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (I'm 5'4'' too)
Mine are from Wallis, straightish bootcut. Had them for ages and they have stayed really black after being washed (wash them inside out)Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
