Ooooh, just had to pop back to say I am also a member of the 5'4" black jeans + nice top & heels club :D

I bought some cheap ones in M&S a few months ago & although they did fade quite quickly, I've just revived them with dye ;). thanks for the Wallis tip Shoe Gal, love their stuff, & on quidco too, so perfectly justifiable :D

    night night

Buffy - I get my trousers from New Look. They do a cheap range of work style trousers that also work for night (eg black boot cuts). Obv cheap fabrics but I like the style.

Had a good day. Got my mortgage offer (phew!) and so feel like am on my way. Not too sure what is next but had email off my solicitor which is good too so hopefully no more issues along the way???!!!

Looks like will be moving in 2 months today and I'm sure that will fly by!

Definitely need to get on with decluttering this weekend!!!!

Last night was fab, wore my sparkly boob tube with a black shrug and my Nine West (RIP) heels.

Was in a fancy private members club and had a fab band followed by DJ. So far so good.....until bought drinks...two vodka & diet cokes ... £23 :eek::eek::eek:

Needless to say I did not have a hangover this morning.....

Still was great to get dressed up and have a boogie - I must get out more often!! (although in places with Happy Hour!)
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Gwen -sorry to hear about the POF man :grouphug:.

Dont think of it as being dumped though; that would only apply if you had actually been seeing them for some time in a mutually agreed relationship. A guy you meet through a dating site is essentially a stranger that you are getting to know & you really shouldnt think of them as 'yours' until you have spent a considerable amount of time with them & you have both decide that you want to make some form of commitment.

If you want a serious relationship with like minded people then you would probably be better off using one of the sites with a proper matching system, & you would expect to pay for that, when it to dating sites, you tend to get what you pay for.

I dont want to see your hopes & expectations dashed when you're already feeling a bit low. You are worth so much more :A.

Thankyou Lula :A You always give such fab advice. I know you're right, but nobody likes rejection do they? To be honest, he had quite a few issues. Not his fault at all, but he needs to sort them out really. It's ironic in a way. They always say 'there's always someone worse off than you' and it's so true. When he told me what he'd been through, I just thought 'God, I really don't have problems at all...'. Hopefully he'll get some help with it all.

Boot cut trousers are very flattering. I also like wide leg worn with serious heels (otherwise they look a bit clown ish :o) M&S have a good choice and not too trendy (and therefore date quickly)

And I think black rather than denim jeans look really smart :)

Oooh yes, boot cut and wide leg trousers look nice. I love my black jeans aswell, but they've faded quite a bit. How did the dying work out, Lula? I bought a pack of Dylon (I think that's what it was called) the other week to try that, but I haven't got around to doing it yet.

    Hey all,

Watching the election debates and waiting to be called for my survey company money!

Had bro and his boyf round for tea tonight. Fab to see them but my living room/kitchen is now a tip!!!

Gwen you're right no one like rejection hon but you also don't really need to take on any one else issues at the moment (or ever in my humble opinion!)

Time at mum and dads was ace. Mum got me some good bits in Primarni and we had a lovely chilled time sat in the garden. She has the pre op for her hip op on Monday and then she goes in anytime which is fab news. Can only walk a few steps but she's still in great spirits. No wonder I'm a cheerful sort!

What are you lovely lot all up to?

Sold a top on ebay yesterday and made a fiver! Every little helps.

Hurray for your shiny new mortgage makeup :jyou must be almost bursting with excitement. Outrageous price for drinks  I'm not sure I coud afford a social life with alcohol outside my pc & SAID :o

Gwen- quite right about the rejection & also discovering that there are many who are less fortunate than ourselves.

I'm currently having to watch the political debate in order to earn 250 survey points. There are some really dire side effects of debt busting, well beyond less shoe shopping :(

Cats are fun but have a way of making you feel quite inadequate ... we recently bought ours a squeaky toy mouse filled with catnip. He played with it for while & then went outside. He returned a couple of hours later with a real live one ( thankfully intact & unharmed) & put it on the floor in front of me with a look that said " Now that's a mouse" :rotfl:

Me too Lula and I hate them all tbh. I think I will give the vote that women died to get to the party that will help the hard working single girl in her day to day life...oh sorry, there isn't one!!!

    * Moves rock cautiously to one side and crawls out.*

 Hello my lovelies - very long time no see - sorry for the protracted absence. I've been lurking for a little while catching up, following a period of impersonating the Singing Detective (dratted psoriasis :( seem to have been spending loads of my time either moisturising or hoovering up what I have shed, like a scaly snake. Yuk).

Hope you are all doing ok. Am I right in thinking that Lula is back down to one job (and has a cat), Sarah has started eBaying ;), and Shoobeedoo is still in possession of the finest shoe collection in the UK? And makeup is about to have a FLAT! :T (Once she has finished licking the glass of the last drops of the most expensive vodka and diet coke imaginable.) And hugs to Gwen, who has loads on her plate at the moment. :A

Have just completed a scintillating survey on household products (I think I'd sooner watch the debates). However, I am now clearly so old that the only opinions of mine that matter concern the cleanliness of my loo.

In tonight's other debate, bootlegs just don't suit me. Despite being 5'9, they turn me into a munchkin, and one that falls over its own flared bits at that. Am currently slobbing in old leggings and a tunic top.

Lula - cats will always make you feel inadequate. Has yours given you the thousand yard stare yet? Mine used to complain about the inadequacy of the front door cat flap, otherwise known as the letterbox. The only way to gain any superiority is to take control of the catnip. ;)

Hiya everyone, been 5 8' I like boot cut trousers and jeans, can't do the killer heals tho, but with my height don't think there really necessary.

makeup glad you've sorted the mortgage 2 months will fly by, I love been in my own house, when I bought my ex out one of the drivers at work said he thought it would be harder for me to find a boyfriend as he thought most lads would be put off cos they couldn't offer me anything, I thought he had a point but now a days I think i prefer the house my way, maybe i'm getting a bit selfish, i'll stop waffling and go get a drink.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
