Must get a grip on MSE ways...been swiping like i'm a rich woman with my husband's credit card with no limit!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Oh dear! Vanquis offered me an extra £1050 onto my limit today! At that interest percent, no thanks! Still it shows I've not gone over or missed a payment since I got the card last year, not a big deal for many but HUGE progress for me! X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Where are all you lovely people tonight?
Hello, I've just logged in, but am really avoiding MSE land at the moment as my spending has been utterly shameful in the last couple of weeks.
There is absolutely no way that I can quit home-job unless I have a serious rethink about my attitude to all this. I'm wondering whether there's some weird kind of mind game going on here ie I spend so that I cant give up home job :undecided.
Other than that we've spent most of the day in the garden - I realise that for many, the aircraft grounding has been really grim, but for those of us who live near airports & flight paths, it's been lovely today - clear blue skies & so quiet.
I need a new plan, that doesnt involve eating or spending money
Lost my moneysaving mojo & need to find it quick ... havent ordered the wardrobe yet, but the way I keep bidding on ebay, I will need to very soon :eek:0 -
My spending has got out of control too
Bought a bracelet and earrings today on my credit card - when I am already using my credot card for food this month

Ladies, I think we all need to reign it in and remember that this is meant to be the year of being frugal so that we can enjoy ourselves in years to come. We've done well so far and are over a quarter of the way through so come on back down to it and let's stop before it gets out of hand and you get a big row from Sarah! I keep torturing myself by looking at all the furniture / homewares shops and websites. I must stop or I think I'll explode from keeping my shopping urges inside!!
Spent yesterday recovering from a massive hangover from Friday night. Was out with some friends but wasn't too horrible as was a cheap bar and they go in there so much the manager loves them so we got free shots and they've a discount card so we got money off too :j:j
So went for a massive breakfast to soak up the booze and then we went to meet some friends in the pub in the afternoon. I also went into dreams to try out mattresses - which was great fun. I think I'm going to buy online as much cheaper though!
I had my first Pimms of the season  but only one, was mostly on the lemonade and went home early so was in to watch Dr Who and a bit of CSI.
I need to get off the laptop now and get going with my ebay plans for today plus I need to menu plan for the week and try and sort out another pile of rubbish!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -

Afternoon
I have finally reached the bottom of my barrel, £2.90-ish to last me a week. It wouldn't be so bad except I'm out of coffee and only have 4 teabags left... life without caffeine isn't worth living!
My dissertation isn't happening either, I have about 2wks to write 8,000 words and I've been doing sod-all. Grrrrr. The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0
