Wow, ladies seems like the dating thing is going well for Butterflies and Gwen!

Good luck on your date Butterflies, he sounds much nicer than the last one! :j:j

One of my friends is getting her daughter christened in the middle of nowhere in June so four of us are going to hire a car. I found car hire for about £50 cheaper than all the other quotes but when I tried to book it said there was an error and they would get in touch with me :mad::mad: Feel sure is not going to be available at that price for me after all!

I'm feeling like that SATC episode where Carrie has her shoes stolen at the baby shower and she goes on about the cost of the hen weekend, wedding, baby gifts etc and I can now totally relate!!

The christening is at 10am so can't even do it in a day but we've found a Premier Inn for £29 for the room and if this car hire works out will be £25 for that.

However this is happening the weekend before I'm due to complete which is a nightmare.....just when I could without spending more money.....

Oh well! Should be a nice weekend, maybe a mooch around Cheltenham shops which I'm imagining are pretty fancy and hopefully a nice pub lunch!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Thanks misslauren. He doesn't look like he's entirely my type to be honest (maybe slightly too good looking?), but he looks smart and dressed for work in the pic. I might like him better dressed more casually. However, I can appreciate that he is very hot, but I don't think he'd like me. He's a barrister !!!!!!. Now I don't think of myself as a thicky and I have a pretty good job, but I'm slightly intimidated by the barrister bit. He probably went to Eton or something...God, I'm so cynical.

I'm so bewildered I'm checking my profile to make sure I haven't blatantly lied on it... 'I speak five languages, enjoy Russian literature and play polo'... Nope, I've not written that. I've admitted to liking Girls Aloud, !!!!!!! He must have made a mistake!!

    Opposites attract ;)

Or maybe his guilty pleasure is dancing round the bedroom singing 'we're gift wrapped kitty cats, we only turn into tigers when we've gotta fight back, lets go eskimo, out into the blue'????

I've just had an email from my work colleague who reckons I've won the work lottery again... I'm now getting ridiculously excited that I've won the £10k or £20k or whatever the highest prize was... Must calm myself...I've probably just won £100 again...which is still very nice.

Congrats on the lottery win, Gwen - what a surprise! Don't be worrying about the barrister. For a start, most of them aren't on silly money (depends what sort of work he does), and I've met some absolutely lovely ones through work. Glad that the new fishing is going well.

Butterflies - new bloke sounds great - enjoy! :j

Had a fab day at the sea on Sunday. OH had to go for work, so I hitched a ride and spent modestly (M&S dress for £17.50 and a wrap for £9.50), sat with an iced coffee watching the boats (such a hardship) and listening to a samba group, then went down to the sea and watched two toddlers fighting with seaweed. Accompanied back home by a selection of hot air balloons, including one wishing someone a happy birthday. Doesn't get much better than that, and I am still pleasantly chilled... :j

    Happy Wednesday to you all.

Aw Gwen he could be really nice or he could be completely illiterate and a barista in Starbucks. Who knows. Hope you get to meet him.

Holly - sounds like a lovely day. I'm wishing I was by the sea right now!

You were asking about all the stuff in my parents loft, well there are a lot of books but also masses of cooking kit (I love cooking all the gadgets and i'm sure there are all sorts of wonders up there that I've forgotten about). Plus a huge box full of nick nacks, boxes of magazines....lots of junk. I'm sure a lot of it will be freecycled and might find an odd bit to ebay.

Its' been up there for 7 years but i was really organsed when I packed it, for once, and each box has an inventory and each box is numbered and I have a seperate inventory list somewhere.....

I'm actually really looking forward to going through it all and I think my parents are pretty happy about it too!

:A That's an amazing amount of organisation. Am very impressed (and slightly scared ;)). I love going through old stuff I've forgotten about - could be a case of here lie treasures.

Would love to be typing in the back garden right now, but the man from the house behind us is having his third bonfire in three days, and the garden is full of smoke. I am entertaining fantasies of watering, somewhat forcibly, the plants right by the back fence. ;)
