Plenty Of Freaks ? Never again, would rather stay single thank you. This girl has standards ;)

I think I found the one decent bloke on there Lula. Hadn't been on for ages when he started messaging me. Couldn't believe there was a fella on there that was tall, good looking, clever, funny, interesting, PhD (yes, a Dr!), good job, car, flat and a keen cook (bonus:)). Then he dumped me on Saturday...:( I'm trying not to be too bothered about it. It's not about me. He seems to have a few issues from his past which he told me about and I'm fine with, but now he's told me about them, he seems to have to push me away and he basically said that in the email he sent. Just seems a shame really.

That's the board I posted on! They called me cold-hearted, shallow and cynical :) Smug married gits, I'm not cold-hearted ;)

I am not relationship material because I have anxiety and depression at the moment :) If I wasn't depressed at the start of the thread, I certainly was at the end ;)

I think I've seen the nearest near-miss ever tonight. A car decides to overtake on a corner at a ridiculous speed, when there were clearly the lights of another car coming in the opposite direction. I was already planning what I'd do in my head...'Pull over, call the police and prepare yourself to see horrific things '

makeup - At least you can put your mind at rest that you've done the best you could. Maybe you'll be able to get a better deal next time around.

How come it's taken me this long to find this thread!? And I've eventually worked out what people mean when they talk about SAID thread.

    Clearly a slow learner :D.

Though I really need to grab some sleep so will need to catch up tomorrow.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone, and I'm back on track and more motivated than ever :) Have found a fashion design course it melbourne that will let me do a year exchange at either FIT or Parsons design in New York... so fingers crossed that's where I'll be going next year! Hopefully Melbourne guys are slightly better...

Btw, TDQO you may be on to something. Will definitely have to pop over and have a look around if I am in the states for a bit ;)

Trying to catch up... read the first and last 5 pages; this could take me a while :D.

Sarahb - wow! Look how much you've paid off already this year! All your fabulous, frugal living has really paid off! We started off with around the same amount of debt so maybe I need to take a leaf out of your book... (especially with the ebaying, decluttered a wee while back and the pile of stuff is still waiting in the corner of the room to be photographed!) Think I'll put most of it on BigWardrobe.com though...

Makeup - well done on the mortgage. I put an offer in on my wee flat on my 30th birthday! Between speaking to a mortgage borker for the first time and moving in, I think there may have been 6 or 7 weeks! I nearly fainted when I had to sign the missives! Talk about a impulse buy as a birthday pressie to myself!!!!

    Hello to every-one else :hello:

I tried to go onto the Marriages board and my broadband went down.....maybe they've blocked singles???

Off out tonight which is good, a charity thing and we have to 'dress to impress' which makes a change as I'm normally in my jeans!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
  • I need some fashion advice, I want to wear trousers that aren't jeans or tracksuit bottoms.
any suggestions? am 5.4 and a size 14- 16 and I very much like breathing. Oh and boot cut jeans suit me very well
