Hello ladies, I've been away for 10days, a bit of travelling and then a week in the new forest. Am down to my last £20 until the 24th... d'oh!

MissLauren... the bloke is a complete w****r, ignore him and try to forget him as soon as. You're a very pretty lady with a plan to go places, don't let this sh*thead affect that. Unfortunately from my 12months in Oz it's obvious that many australian guys are like that, you want a nice pommy geezer... ;P

Sarah: GET BACK ON TRACK! You're the main inspiration for this thread so no back-slipping here! You've done really well with your weghtloss and you've made nearly £4k which is nearly my annual budget!

The rest of you, keep smiling and carry on paying off those debts, that's an order!

    Over n Out,

    TDQO

Firstly, Miss Lauren, how awful. Totally feel for you but agree with others that you have so many other fantastic things going on in your life and hopefully those will help you keep your mind of him and his outrageously awful behaviour. I'm a big believer in karma and one day he will get whats coming to him.

Sarah - you've been doing brilliantly, v. jealous of your ebay total, must get some more on to catch up with you.

Souk - tracky top on a Friday night out :eek: I'm struggling to think of first date situations in which that would be acceptable!!!!!

I'm feeling really stressed at the moment. Almost every decision seems to be the wrong one and this is causing me a lot of grief.

When I signed up for the flat I got a call from the mortgage broker that was recommended by the Housing Association. I just assumed they would have lots of experience of Shared Ownership mortgages and would get the best deals. I went along to a meeting with them but naively didn't think much about it and didn't do any research before hand (:o:mad:) and before I knew it I was filling in lots of forms and had agreed to pursue a mortgage they recommended.

Since then I'm really worried that I've made a big mistake, it is a really high rate and everyone I mention this to is really shocked and I can tell they all think I'm making a big mistake. I do know that as a first time buyer with a small deposit and going down shared ownership route am not going to be given good rate but still.....

But now the original mortgage applicaiton is going through and I've signed so many forms now, I don't really know if I can get out of it.... or if I should?? I've paid £200 arrangement fee already......

Then yesterday I had to get over to East London to get my passbook for my ISA updated and they closed at 12noon. (I need my savings info for my application and it isn't online).

On the way I thought I would stop in at the British Heart Foundation charity furniture shop to see what they had and I ended up buying a lovely display cabinet.

However all this took up too much time and I got lost finding the Building Society so was late :mad:

Now I need to find a way of getting the cabineet home from the shop before end of tomorrow. I've joined Streetvan (car club type thing) but am a bit worried about driving a van on my own......

I'm going to go into work tomorrow and see if one of my colleagues with a car will help me out with transportation in our lunch break (thankfully it is all close to the office)

I'm so cross with myself. What kind of idiot misses an important deadline because they are buying a display cabinet from a charity shop????:eek: Hardly essential furniture....

Plus I don't have much space and my moving date is mid-June so goodness knows where it is going to fit.

Have decided can't be trusted in shops anymore....

This is all making me panic, I'm worried I've made a massive mistake.

Sorry for the massive post. Will think of something positive to write soon!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Don't panic! A mortgage is a massive step lady and it's only natural that you feel a bit 'aargh' about it all. Don't have any practical advice as I will be about 150 before I can ever think about a mortgage but I'm sure someone who knows about these things will be along soon!

Make up, I on't have any experience of mortgages either, but I would guess the shared ownership people are getting a cut for recommending the mortgage company. Can't think of another reason they would have recommended them if the rate is so poor. If everyone is commenting on the rate then I would probably try to get out of it but are you assured of getting a mortgage elsewhere? If this is the only company offering one you might be stuck with it but I would do a little ringing round and see if you get amy better offers. It might be worth losing the £200 to get a better deal, plus I am sure they have to offer you a cooling off period anyway, so you might be able to get the money back.

Is the building society somewhere you can get to in your dinner hour? Surely being a couple of days late won't matter and it will give you a valid excuse to hold the mortgage company at bay while you check out some others.

I would definitely miss a deadline to buy a lovely cabinet, good call there:D. Mid June is not a long time to have to store something and it will be worth it when it is looking lovely in your new home:j

I really loathe the photographing/writing/wrapping/posting aspects of it, but it all feels worth it when things sell:D. I have most things set to end on a Sunday so have spent a lovely evening watching myself earn £30ish:j everything is parcelled up ready to go as soon as I am paid and I relisted everything which didn't sell and added a few more things, all to end next Sunday.

I collected my lovely bag from the P.O. and I don't love it:(. It is perfectly nice but for that price I expect to be wowed and I'm not. So it's going back quickly for a refund, I am not wasting my ebay money on anything that is not utterly fabulous.

My Tesco things also arrived and most will have to be returned, the bra was massively padded which is the very last thing I need:D. I just hope they don't take the points back too:(

    Hi makeup,

sorry but I really cant offer any advice on mortgages :o I would agree with sarah re doing plenty of research before signing anything.

I have been doing good & earthy deeds at the allotment today, so nice & sunny & a brilliant excuse for not having done any decorating :D.

Back to work-job tomorrow & am expecting a manic week _pale_

sarah - well done for returning unfabby & unwow stuff now, so that you dont have to ebay it in 6 months time ;)

I've been ebaying too, but more the bidding variety ...
