Hmm, back at work - not too bad but I'm going to be really busy over the next few weeks. Looking forward to my lie in already!

I've got a mini-break planned for early May. A two night break in Llanberis and I'm planning to do Snowdon.

Realised I hadn't booked my transport so I've managed to bag train tickets for £28 which I think is a good price.

I've paid for the accommodation (YHA) with vouchers from Tesco so that is good and I hopefully won't spend too much while I'm up there.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hey guys,

thanks for the thoughts re my home-job situation, it's not just about spending more time with DD - it's about having the time & energy to do normal stuff too , like seeing frineds & family without finding it a time consuming chore.

I think I would probably work out how many weeks of home job it would take to halve your debt, keep at it and then stop when you are down to half. If you have an end date in mind it will not feel so relentless. I think someone (make up?) pointed out that that level of debt is not an emergency and can be coped with.

Sarah, delighted though I am that you have done so well with your ebaying & weight loss, I do hope that this new handbag is a different colour from the one you bought about a year ago :naughty:

That was hand luggage and therefore doesn't count as a handbag:D. And yes, they are different colours:p

    I knew that was coming:rotfl:

ps - sarah - breakdown for £100, really that much ?

I always have the top level of cover as I travel quite a lot with my job and I have a fear of breaking down and not being able to get to a garage and get home safely. I would rather pay more to know I am safe. I have just done it and got £30 cashback, so not too bad as the AA were going to renew my cover for £160:eek:

I saw the 'hand luggage' in real life the other day - truly delicious, so glossy :D

I quite understand about wanting the top level of breakdown cover; after my dear father once told me I should have it as I was single & he certainly wasnt going to resuce me from deepest cornwall or scotland I paid it for about 7 years, this year being the first time I ever went for basic cover.

Now all I care about is not ever having to pay £300+ to get towed off a motor way by pirates. Travelling to work is ony 5 miles & I always have phone charger, humbugs & credit card on me :o

As to the debt end date - I cant be specific as the amount I can earn from home-job varies, I do have a date for end of home-job in mind though; 29th July :D.

Yay to no more home job after July:j:D

Nothing much to report here, posted some parcels, paid some coins in, pottered about, did some tidying, admired my handbag on the internet (probably won't be here until next week :() and generally lazed around. :) The weather has been lovely and I could get used to being a lady of leisure:D

I have 15 items ending on ebay at the weekend and only 1 bid:(. Lots of watchers though, hopefully I will get some bids so I can add to my treats fund.:j

NM has been up to his tricks again, I cannot speak of it due to being so enraged:mad:. It's got so that I am checking the street for his Noddy car and then checking the house for lights on to see if I can work out where he is so I can avoid him.:mad::mad:

Hope everyone has had a good day:)

  • hi everyone was back at work yesterday after easter break and on my new team with my colleague, the team is very quiet and i miss the banter on my old team but me and my colleague are doing ok.
I went on a date last night, met him on pof and we talked on msn a bit (well for hours really) , anyway he lives blackburn so met up halfway, hes 47 has a daughter and well we hit it off, hes funny, i go shy when I am with him, blushing and i did not leave the pub car park till 1.30am, hows that then, hes fairly average looking like myself and i saw past that and was attracted to his personality and sense of humour. Lots of kisses later and i left and well what can i say we are going to see each other again after next week as hes taking his daughter to devon for a week, he likes motorbikes and motorsport and i like things like that too. we like coasts and countryside etc and he likes me for who I am and he asked me to just be myself and never pretend. Hes a health and safety officer and used to be a manager and is ambitious too. He has siamese cats and goes body boarding in devon too.

He has a ford puma and two motorbikes and likes to keep healthy and fit.

I also keep getting calls from bury leisure centre about my gym contract. I decided to pay by cheque for the last few months as their direct debit was being debited before my wage went in the bank and I was incurring charges. there is only two months left to pay and I sent them a cheque last month and they sent me a receipt for it and a direct debit form. I am not going to discuss it with them as they will just try and reinstate it and i will continue sending them a cheque a day before i get paid. They already know i will be ending the contract in may.

Im not even using the gym now, have not done since the bad weather, snow and ice, i lost interest.

One tip for you people if you like cappucinos, i used to buy the bags of dowe egberts cappucino and latte, well they have disappeared off the shelves and i bought asdas smart price cappucino in a big bag and its exactly the same as the branded one and is really frothy!

    Hi SAIDers...

Haven't been in touch for a while but I can now very safely say I am VERY single from the ex. Found out from his own mother that he was seeing three other women in the 2 years he was in a relationship with me... and it seems the last 5 months we have been seeing each other he has been in a relationship with one of the three girls, meaning he's been cheating on her with me.

I am so beyond mad it isn't funny

So emailed said girl to make sure she was aware he was still sleeping with me up until two weeks ago (didn't add that it was me that stopped things). When he heard I was going to email her I was threatened with police action and an AVO... even though they are only 'friends'.

So, am kind of off men for a while.

    How is everyone else?

 hey Misslauren, I am so  on your behalf

what a lowlife, lying, cheating piece of scum.

You are so much better off out of that.

You are way too fabulous to share :A

This might well be an emergency shoe situation ... something with very sharp pointy heels that will sink into a human foot in case you 'bump' into him :D

You have a lot of things on your wonderful list to be getting on with, so no time for losers,

    chin up sweetie

    Thanks Souk and Lula.

Pretty sucky situation to be in, it's hard enough to know that someone cheated once let alone continuously with different people, especially when he said he was so against cheating from the beginning. He had everybody fooled...

Luckily I've been chatting to a few nice guys since we officially split in Nov... and one wants to catch up before he takes off for Hong Kong. So if I can get this knot of anger/hurt/shock out of me it might be nice to see what he's like. :)

Ugh... MissL, you certainly know how to pick the good ones :(

Ps... Loving the idea with the shoes... especially since he bought me half of mine... Revenge of the 5 inch stillettos!!!

Dont get mad, get even; burn that anger energy by working out, & become even more fabulous & succesful.

Hell hath no fury ... use it wisely ;)

Do not resort to food as a comfort - that makes him win, & boys never deserve to win over us :p
