Hello
Yargo beat me to it, I've used both of those sites to find a flatmate and have found them to be good.
Good luck in your search!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Hey Ziggles-
sorry things are grim, can't think of the name of the site - will have a look later - but I know there's one on Topcashback, think it's called zoopa or similar * you get to view rooms, flatmates etc.
Not sure how the system works in Scotland but have you thought of applying to local authorities or housing associations. In this area a new bidding system for social type housing has just been brought in which makes things a lot fairer .
wishing you lots of luck

Thank you peeps. All bookmarked and daily searches to get the idea ingrained in my psyche. I am on a mission and if it means no holiday, food (which is always good for the waistline) or whatever it WILL happen before 2010 is out...
Lula- housing here is just a nightmare...not going up fast enough.
In the meantime...will ask for raise at work and then keep so busy i don't have time to care aboot the state of the hoose!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Evening all:)
Am just popping in to report that I have returned to my old ways:o I am finding being frugal quite good fun in some ways as it is forcing me to think about what I want vs what I need and I have been quite sensible up to now and managed to save quite a bit with not looking/using vouchers/codes/points/selling things/cashback and I am definitely much more savvy about things and I am determined to reach my £20k target.:)
However, life is very boring with no treats so I have decided to use my ebay money for treats rather than towards my target. This decision came on rather suddenly, I was looking at a handbag at the time.So now I am the proud owner of a new handbag :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls (via quidco of course:D). Luckily I already have matching shoes.:D I think this is a good idea as it will motivate me to sell more and will give me something to look forward too:). I still have lots more stuff to ebay and I think I am going to start flagging if I don't use the carrot and stick approach.
I have noticed that the company I sold my games to has disappeared from TCB's list of retailers and I sent them an email last week about my missing funds which should have been here a month ago to which I have had no response so I think I can safely write off my £11:mad:. I know it's not much but it's the principle of the matter:mad:
I need to sort out my breakdown cover this week via quidco which is going to cost me about £100 but should come with around £30 cashback to soften the blow:)
Hope everyone is having a good day and sympathies to anyone who had to go back to work this morning.:(Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Sarah I wasn't off at all this weekend. Off tomorrow though thank goodness and need it as had a bit of a wild one last night and spent a bit on booze!!!
Think you're right about the money. You're doing really well so this should just keep you going.
Lula, do whatever feels right re home job. You and DD are obviously very close and enjoy the time you get together so if you can get the debt down without it then do it!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Wow you have done really well , and its good to treat yourself, i on the other hand have nothing worth selling at all, i use everything books included. I just can't make money at all.
I don have a lot of things in my little house, I desperately need a new gate, new bedroom storage, breakdown cover etc but with the council tax starting again next week and i just don't have the spare cash.
But i am going on a date tomorrow night with a seemingly nice man, i have seen his photo but i like the sound of his personality, we chatted from 2pm till 9pm yesterday. and hes chatting to me later on.Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -
Hey guys,
thanks for the thoughts re my home-job situation, it's not just about spending more time with DD - it's about having the time & energy to do normal stuff too , like seeing frineds & family without finding it a time consuming chore.
I do realise that my current feelings of being under the weather may well have something to do with the apathy as well so am not going to make any hasty decisions.
Sarah, delighted though I am that you have done so well with your ebaying & weight loss, I do hope that this new handbag is a different colour from the one you bought about a year ago
Take that as me getting my own back for the boots:D
I have vowed that if I do give up the home-job before becoming debt free, then I will have to take up ebaying& cooking from scratch _pale_
ps - sarah - breakdown for £100, really that much ?0
