Apart from the shoes I liked in Dune - not really! It's all very 'summery' so not right for the weather now - and as I am trying to lose some weight I didn't really want to try on - and depress myself :(

Got my eye on these in Next too

Stay away from the shops lady! I'm so skint this month too as it's a 5 weeker.

I've just had a salmon fillet with cream cheese and flavoured breadcrumbs with cous cous and peas. It was lush! And v cheap as it was all from good old Aldi!

    Sounds lovely :D

I am eating an M&S pasta meal - you can tell I've been to town! No M&S near me/work so it's a treat :)

Defo no dating for me - think I will be single forever :rotfl::rotfl:

Me too, just cant be bothered at the moment :undecided

I've spent most of the weekend lounging about, reading & snoozing in equal measures - I feel so lethargic; have no energy, no lust for life, no oomph nor va va voom, just feel utterly drained & stagnant :o.

I'm working at home-job for the next 3 days & feel so full of dread, resentful & angry, if the 0% balance transfer goes through I am very seriously considering living on absolute minimum possible for the next 16 weeks ( including cashing in my £2 coin collection & Quidco account _pale_) & then jacking home-job in at the end of July .

I just cant face the thought of taking DD to camp, going to work, collecting DD from camp, coming home & making tea, then doing home-job until 9pm while the summer & my daughters childhood slips by :(.

    It's only money I owe !!!!!!.

If you can afford it - go for it! DD will only have one childhood :D

Technically I cant afford it - even if I do get the transfer & pay £100 a week off the CC, I'll still owe over £2,500 ... but what price a life free from misery eh ?

Exactly! Look at my signature - I still have loads of debt to clear :o but I am not prepared to put my life on hold just to pay it off. If it takes you longer to pay off the debt but you enjoy your times with DD and both of you build up wonderful memories - surely that's the way to go? Believe me, paying off debt should not be the only thing in your life :A

Thanks Shoe Gal; you always talk so much sense :A
  • I agree with everyone on the debt thing. I have £27 left in my bank account, £15 left in the other flex account and around £30 on cc.
I have got a date possibly wed or thurs and he sounds nice and we have been chatting online since 2pm today.

done my ironing it was a big pile and the cold tap in my bathroom in the bath is really hard to turn off, had it in bits the other day and thought i had sorted it but now it looks like the tap is knackered and will have to change them all as they are cheap 10 yr old taps. only thing is bath taps are difficult to replace and its right next to the toilet and have to remove bath panel. going to order some from screwfix with push on connectors next week and hope i can fix without a plumber.

I did not spend today either. off work tomorrow in wed then off thurs then work fri and sat. My daughter is in florida with her dad and they texted me this morning to say they had just watched the space shuttle launch! Lucky them!

Lula - could there be any chance of compromise with yukky home job - for example could you take break over summer while DD on school hols? Then go back in Autumn when she's back at school and probably will have homework and clubs in evenings anyway????

Totally agree about balancing life however, and £2.5k while sizeable and important, isn't panic stations, all hand to the pump kind of debt. I would assume you will be able to make all your payments plus some kind of overpayment so not just covering the interest but paying off the capital too?
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
