Just tried to do my weekly shop at the co-op and they hardly had any of the things I needed:(. I was very strict with myself and decided to wait until I can get to Tesco tomorrow to get the main things, did manage to get some bargains though, I got bread, fruit, 2 bottles of squash and 2 ready meals :ofor £4.71 so I have £15.29 left for the week which should be ample.

I am finding it so much easier to keep track of what I am doing by having the money in a separate purse and resticting myself to just that, I just need to see it translated into lots of money left at the end of the month to be transferred to cc.:) I am determined to meet my £20k target:).

I need to do some more decluttering now.:( I managed a bit during the week and my wardrobe and bookcases are now tidy but I am still working on the principle of having everything ready to go if I move out, which makes having to move out if I need to feel much less stressful and also means I have more room. I do not know how I manage to make such a mess in such a short space of time, it feels like I only have to appear in a room for it to suddenly look like a bombsite. :o

Well done on the weightloss Sarahb! :j You're doing so well. You can definitely do this.

It sounds like you're doing really well with the frugality aswell and the decluttering, although I know what you mean. I seem to be constantly tidying, decluttering, tidying, decluttering. I'm going to try and get rid of anything I don't need and don't use. This house is far too small to have too much carp in it.

I think where I live is similar to you Sarahb. I only have one room and I keep meaning to start properly decluttering so that I only take with me, things that i love and want to keep when I move.

However each weekend I seem to just do the tidying up of my room to get it into a presentable state. I have too much stuff for the room so is hard to get it looking tidy as nowhere for things to go.

Next weekend I need to start doing some proper decluttering and start listing stuff on ebay again.

I don't know that I'll get much done during the week, Mon I'm staying in a hotel with my family ready for my Grandma's funeral on Tues.

Then Weds I'm out with some friends to a concert (hopefully freebie ticket :j). Thurs I'm at a travel show (again a freebie ticket :j)

Still maybe not being much at home means less time to make a mess????
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

That's exactly it, having just the one room is a nightmare.icon8.gif I also spend each weekend trying to get it presentable but there is just too much stuff for one room and nowhere to put it. I also have a lot of things with my parents, there is no way I could keep it here.

Am with you on just keeping things I love and want to keep, there is so much here, eg dvds I won't watch again, toiletries I don't need, piles of bedding, books I won't read again, which I could probably hang onto if I had a house but it's getting impossible to fit it all in here. I am annoyed wih myself as there is a lot here which could probably be ebayed if I had the ability and the organisational skills icon8.gif.

I think I am going to give myself a mini challenge and designate February as Decluttering Month, get rid of as much as I can and keep anything that could be ebayed in a storage box in the hope that one day I manage to get round to it as I really couldn't bear to throw out anything which may make me some money. :( I think I am going to have to look into that and give it a go as I could make a nice amount:D.

Hi all, Well all sounding really positive on here! Great news on all the frugality and weightloss ladies (and hot sex you know who!) I've had a nice day off. Popped into town with my gay mate today and he treated me to lunch (a McDonalds, which I haven't had in ages!) and then I bought a set of pans for £10 for all my domestic goddess type behaviour. Was VERY hungover today and nearly passed out in town at one point but soon came round. Fab FWB swung round with 2 pizzas and 2 bottles of red last night and it was great to see him.

Tonight my friend from my old job came round and I introduced her to this website and Quidco etc and she was WILDLY excited! She is coming round to learn more next week! Was great to help someone save/make a bit of cash. She is such a lovely mate.

Not much planned for this week but happy to potter about and need to sort my magazine pile and meal plan. X

Definitely:) I need someone to spur me on:). This week I am going to aim for:
    • throwing out 2 bin bags of rubbish
    • taking 2 bags of books to the charity shop
    • put 5 things into a box for ebaying
    • 3 items of clothing for charity shop
That should give me a little more room at least.

I've lost another 2lbs:j:j:j Only 2 more pounds and I am half way to my target:j. Looks like my £20 a week food budget is working:D. .

The no money to buy food diet is the most effective ever:)

Regarding ebay if you want to sell things it's best to open an account and use it to buy things for a while. I can understand how that defeats the money saving purpose but ebay works on feedback and if your account has no positive feedback buyers will be less willing to purchase from you. Maybe you should open the ebay account now and when you are a bit more familiar with how it works start selling.
