I'm hungry just reading about your cabbage soup makeup :D how was powerplate? I've never tried it but heard amazing things.

Well, the offer got accepted on the house! Got it for a smashing 10k under the asking price with a vendor paid 5% deposit, and it was a bargain anyway. So very pleased!

Am absolutely shattered tonight, so going to retire I think. Although I did want to watch the new secret diary...decisions decisions!

Wow Bibbitybob, that sounds amazing!! How exciting. Tell us more about the house, how many bedrooms? garden? etc etc? Will you have to do lots of work???

Powerplate was fab. It is a machine that vibrates really quickly so any exercise you do on there is maximised as the vibrations throw you off balance so your muscles work really hard to compensate. You don't just stand on it though, you have to get into an active position - eg. squat for the thighs or we tried tricep dips for bingo wings. Another position great for core / stomach is to sit on the machine in a sit up position. Once you have tension in the muscle you just have to hold that position while the machine vibrates. This is really hard - I gave up half way through the tricep dip!

I could really feel it in my muscles so I bet I'll feel the burn tomorrow!

You can also do really good stretches and then finish off with a massage!

I don't think my gym has one but I might put in a request!!! YOu can buy one yourself but they are expensive (£2k I think )

Was fun night out although had planned to meet FWB on Saturday and he cancelled :( still gives me a chance to catch up on all the TV I've missed this week (esp Glee!) I love online TV :D
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

I seem to have really carp luck with deliveries :o

    Gwenx

My meat delivery was supposed to arrive yesterday but didn't. :( I was really sad as I was so looking forward to it :o

I rang them today and it turned out that the courier delivering it had his van stolen whilst on his round. Someone distracted him by going on about a light that was out and then nicked the van....with my meat in it

The replacement should come tomorrow (fingers crossed) I hope your Tatco delivery is sorted out soon Gwen.

Thanks all! I'm so excited but trying very hard to stay calm until everythings signed and sealed.

The house is a 3 bed semi with two reception rooms, a detached garage and a fairly big garden (so excited about growing veggies again!). It needs work, but most of it's cosmetic and I've done it enough times to know I can do it on a tight budget now. It's a lovely area of town so I can't believe I got it so cheap!

Thanks for the powerplate report makeup, and hope your Mum makes it to the airport Yargo!

Wow, sounds like a really amazing place. I'm keeping everything crossed for a smooth transition through all the conveyancing nightmare.

Two receptions rooms is fab, will you have dining room and living room or something else??
