  • Decluttering month sounds great - count me in!

I've had a really sh*t day today :( started off this morning feeling so positive and it's gone swiftly downhill from 9am onwards.

    Yay! We're all decluttering!

Sorry, you've had a carp day Bibbity Bob, have a hug :grouphug: Mine's been ok. Plodded on at work, got a fair bit done. Got some money from quidco.

Hello all, haven't done much on the decluttering front as had to hae a nap when I got in from work I was so tired:o. I have 2 bags already packed with books for the charity shop which I will take on Wednesday and I have filled half a bin bag with rubbish so it's a start.

I didn't get to finish my shopping but I will do that tomorrow, I spent £7 today as I have run out of foundation and then £2 as I forgot to take my lunch:o but I managed to get two £2 coins in my change:j so they can go in the pot and I put £1 in the piggy.

I am currently looking through the job websites, I don't think now is the best time to be looking but I am trying to get myself into the mindset that I am not trapped in my job and there are other options. I think if I am open to the possibility of a new career the perfect one will find me:)

Hope everyone has had a good day, off in search of food now as I am starving.

The no money to buy food diet is the most effective ever:)
Welcome:) Yes, it is very effective. And very boring:(.

Regarding ebay if you want to sell things it's best to open an account and use it to buy things for a while. I can understand how that defeats the money saving purpose but ebay works on feedback and if your account has no positive feedback buyers will be less willing to purchase from you. Maybe you should open the ebay account now and when you are a bit more familiar with how it works start selling.

Thanks, I hadn't thought about it like that. I will definitely look into it, buying a few things might make it easier for me to understand and a bit less frightening. :D

Nothing major really, in the scheme of things! Just ongoing work issues. Also found out that I'd not even got an interview for a job I am very much qualified for, which was disheartening. I feel very stuck at the moment, but at least I have a job for the moment...:o also mortgage advisor seems to be taking his time, I just want to be in my new house and settled and no matter how hard I try other people seem to put blocks in the way of all my plans....aaaarrgh

I got paid £104 by quidco on Sun, waiting for it to clear in BACS but that should be useful. Spent last night re-writing my CV and applying for two more positions. Completely different to the sector I work in but I'm not having much luck there so thought I may as well try for something different!

At least you're doing something about it BB!

Watching Gok. I love him but usually get annoyed at all those women whinging about nothing. Loving 'with a difference' though.

    How goes the decluttering ladies?

Good luck with the job applications Bibbity, I am also looking for something completely different, had a horrible day at work and the weather didn't help :(. Need a change and quickly:(. Might also be that I am feeling very hormonal at the moment.

I didn't get anything from quidco this month but next month I may see the princely sum of £5. :) The problem with all this frugality is that there is very little cashback in it. :(

I have done the rest of the week's food shop, spent £10.69 and now have £1.51 left until Sunday. Not good at all. Also had to spend £20 on petrol but am going to try to not spend anything else until the weekend. I just want the end of the month to come so I can see if it has paid off. I have just remembered I need my MOT at the end of the month:eek: so fingers crosssed there is no extra expense there.

  • Thanks Souk! Watching Gok here too, loving it. I need him - got a friend's engagement party this weekend and really need to dress to impress as there's a certain *someone* going to be there. Haven't a clue what to wear that suits me and looks sexy, without being ott!

Babysitting at the moment, so not been home to declutter. Have written a list of everything in my freezer though, so can try and eat everything before I move so nothing gets wasted :D
