Thanks make up. Will definitely try to do some of the exercises over the weekend and see how I get on, am very pleased with my bargain so I will be even happier if it actually works:D

You are right re wellies, I can get them cheaper and I might just not get them as I did manage to get out of the house and I don't think wellies have the greatest grip anyway. Am going to be kicking myself if it snows next week.:) They were extremely tight around the calves though:o so I won't be able to wear them until I have lost quite a bit more weight. :o

  • Sarah, a dongle is basically mobile phone internet access - it uses a SIM card and you usually pay for them the same as a contract or PAYG phone. I loved mine when I first had it, but since then the speeds have got worse - IT uncle says that basically so many people have taken it up, the equipment isn't coping as well as it did. I gave up on the 3 one and got Vodafone. I've found the speeds are about the same as dial-up... so it all depends what you want it for.

I wouldn't get wellies for snow - get some walking boots or work boots, the grip is better, they're warmer and they support your ankles if you slip. And can of course be worn for other things eg. hillwalking with fit men :D I'm going to get some gaiters so can keep legs dry as well but I suspect ShoeGal may bar me for that confession :rotfl:

Let me know how you get on with the Swiss ball, have been wondering about one of those.

Apologies for lurking, all a bit mad here between work and study... but, still texting fit previous stopover guy and have another friend of friend enquiring about my love life on Facebook :D

    OK, back on track today.

Having just had cabbage soup for lunch with oatcakes and then a banana.

And done spinning class this morning.

I'm off tonight to a free taster session of Powerplate. I'm on Dermologica mailing list and we get to try the Powerplate (fancy machine that makes any exercises have amazing effects - will explain more once I've tried it!) we also get our skin analysed by the Dermologica people and get a goodie bag......!!! Loving free stuff. And hopefully going for the Prezzo £10 for 2 courses and drink deal.

  • I'm hungry just reading about your cabbage soup makeup :D how was powerplate? I've never tried it but heard amazing things.

Well, the offer got accepted on the house! Got it for a smashing 10k under the asking price with a vendor paid 5% deposit, and it was a bargain anyway. So very pleased!

Am absolutely shattered tonight, so going to retire I think. Although I did want to watch the new secret diary...decisions decisions!

Congratulations on the new house Bibbitybob :j what an inspiration you are :A

I'm contemplating my second Gordon of the evening, we have no bread, biscuits, cakes or anything even remotely yummy other than frozen croissants which I cant be bothered to bake so may have to make do with mini cheddars.

Cant belive I havent had choc for ages & I'm hormonal too, am probably dishing out very unsympathetic posts left right & centre :o

Havent done any exercise this week & was in my jamas by 6 ... but have now got a savings account to put all the funds in, now just need a nice new book to record keep in. Am planning my first of 7 Tatco labours tomorrow _pale_

    Wow! Well done Bibbitybob!! :D

You're allowed a bad day makeup, well done for getting straight back on track again and keeping the spinning up :A

Sarahb - Wellies are useful in certain situations (festivals?), but I'm not sure about icey conditions. They have no grip at all. Walking boots are a bit better, but I was still slipping in mine when it was really icey. That's probably the best you can do though, short of buying some crampons :rotfl:

Hope everybody else is doing ok. It's been quiet on here. I've mainly been lurking. January hasn't been very good at all. I had grand plans, but they all went out of the window with family stuff that I had to sort out. I'm hoping February is the new January and I can start again :)

It seems that my company are planning on making a number of redundancies soon, not too much detail at the moment, but I'd be surprised if I wasn't affected in some way. I'm not too worried at the moment though. I've been there a number of years now and their redundancy package is very good. My only *slight* concern is that the gits might change the package, then make people redundant :mad:

Hi all, Gwen hope your job is okay and Bibbitybob BIG congrats on the house!

I've had a nice night, had a date who I'm seeing next week, my gay friend came round for a cuppa and I got a haircut. Up at 5.30 for the early so I nodded off in the poor girls chair! And to think I was a rep! Shameful! X

Are you lurking Yargo? Are you feeling any better? I had something similar just before Christmas and it wasn't nice at all. Take it easy and get yourself better :A

Good luck in Tatco tomorrow Lula! I'm so glad it's nearly Friday! :j:j

I'm not liking Tatco too much myself at the moment. I ordered some shopping online to be delivered on Tuesday evening and it just never came....Called up and they don't even know why, so they're sending it out again tomorrow. I seem to have really carp luck with deliveries :o
