  • Sorry to hear about your burst pipe bowski, hope it gets fixed soon!

I'm having a typical single girl night in...electric blanket on, ice cream in hand and watching a chick flick ("It's complicated" - the new Meryl Streep one). Cold lasagne ready for lunch tomorrow and my outfit hung up. I have such good intentions on Sunday nights

You sound soooooooooo organised  I haven't even thought about what I will wear tomorrow (although my choices are limited as hardly anything fits me ) - but I have to iron something every morning :o
Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

Yeh, I do this too, I am really into the early bath & hair, then doing nails & getting outfit ready thing. No stress on a monday morning then :)

Well done on more weight loss sarah :D

It'll be your turn next Shoe Gal & you're so right about losing it slowly & keeping it off. Although I'm really pleased that I have lost 4lbs, I'm also a bit wary as in the past this rapid loss has led to a false sense of security, & it's so easy to gain 4lb in a weekend .

A good breakfast like just one scrambled egg on toast (I always cook it in microwave as so much easier) or a bacon sandwich will keep you full till lunch, dont forget to have plenty of drinks. Then have soup for lunch, more drinks in the afternoon then a decent meal when you get in. Dont eat too late - before 7 if possible & then fill up on more drinks in the evening if hungry- fruit & herb teas are good. Try to keep sugar intake quite low but fruit or veg or a lump of cheese will make you feel you're ot being deprived.

Good luck, I know you can do it :A

I wish I was 31:D. You have oooooodles of time to meet Mr Right and have babies.icon7.gif It's horrible when you start to panic that it won't happen, was doing a lot of that a couple of weeks ago, but I have made the decision that it is going to happen and I am going to see what I can change and what I can do to make it happen. If you keep doing the same thing you will keep getting the same thing, so we have to start looking at things differently.

Are you still off work or have you gone back? Does your work have any social clubs? Have you thought about joining a dating website? Not sure what to suggest, only that you try something different and see what happens. I'm sure the fabby people on here will be along better ideas than mine:D

Lincs hun my SIL had her first baby at 39 and her second at 41 so you should be safe for a while yet!

If you join match.com I recommend joining as a free member for a while as they sent me loads of offers and I signed up and only paid £20 for six months just before New Years.

Lincs lovey, if you don't go out then how are you going to meet anyone? You need to get out there if that's what you're looking for. Think about using t'internet and remember nothing ventured. Good Luck and thanks!!!

  • Thanks guys for all your lovely replies you all sound just like my best mate, i quite agree i am never going to change anything if i don't try and change it myself. I think i am going to have a go on match.com may as well as nothing ventured nothing gained. I think probably because i have lived in the same town all my life i don't go out hardly at all mainly because i don't have many close friends i work in a large town hospital and the majority of the girls are all coupled up. I had thought about joining rsvp its an introduction agency but costs £399 as a one off joining fee then £20 a month so not very mse. I also work shifts which can make things a tad difficult any other shift workers out there please give me some advice and a none to gentle kick up the posterior. thankyou for reading :) ps just found out my best mate had to have an emergency c section bless her heart she was 3 centimetres dilated for 3 days:eek:
