Hmm, house hunting would be so exciting but I so can't afford it for years anyway so going to content myself on that front. I know exactly where I want to live and it's along the road from where I am now, 10 mins from city centre, 1 bed, very modern and ready to move into. What's yours like Bibbitybob?'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Sounds lovely Souk.
The house I looked around this morning was a 4 bed terrace just up the road from me...up at £69000 but I'd say it's overpriced even at that  would need gutting and starting from scratch, not prepared to do that.
I'm currently living in a 2 bed flat - it's the bottom half of a Victorian terraced house and it's a proper girly pad. When I lived with my ex I didn't have a floral bone in my body, but I think I got a bit too overwhelmed with "I'll have it girly if I want because no-one can stop me!". I've had to do it all on the cheap so lots of car booting and tins of white & cream paint later and I've got myself a shabby chic little pad and I absolutely love it. It was only ever meant to be short term til I got myself in order again, but I'll have been here 2 years in June. It's never really felt like home though, and I can never work out why0 -
Hmmm I have absolutely no intention of buying a house until I have the funds to build one. Costs half as much and the extra hassle an stress is totally worth it.The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha
I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -

Awww bless to the cat on your arms, one of mine is next to me now, the other has wandered off but he was so cute last night, was sleeping on bed and rolled off in his

Thanks lilmissmup, but unfortunately that's not my deposit! I paid £60k for my place, and just meant that I couldn't built cheaper as suggested by TDQO.
Bless your little cat falling off the bed! I would've wet myself giggling if my kitty had done that. Love the phrase fur babies
I've finally finished and submitted my job application - lots of good luck vibes please! Closing date is 15th and interviews are on 25th so hopefully I'll hear within a couple of weeks.
Have had a very productive afternoon - made cheesy oatcakes which are much nicer than the Nairns ones I like, so they'll be my lunches at work next week. Also listed three dresses, some Emma Bridgewater canisters and two pieces of William Morris fabric on fleabay. And I've managed to save myself £150 off my tax bill by looking at my expenses properly, so feeling very happy with myself!0 -
Hi all, weighed myself and have lost another 1lb:j So that takes my total to 15lb:jOnly 6lb more and I will be halfway to my target. I have been eating less and was hoping that with it being so cold I would burn some of it off keeping warm so a bit disappointed really:rolleyes: but at least it's going in the right direction so I will remain positive. I am aiming for 2-3lbs next week.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
