It is so difficult with just one income .

I know love, but every time I see my friend with her drippy boyfriend I think 'I'll manage!' What's the story with your house then? Why can't you move out?

Hello worried jim, don't tell them that. They'll have you marched down the aisle in no time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can move out, it's just that I don't want the hassle and stress of it all. I am quite happy with the house, it's just one particular person:mad:. I cannot describe how annoying he is. Plus I had decided that I would only move out of here into my own home. But that may need some rethinking.

Me too Souk! Honestly, just because you've got a boyfriend is no guarantee of a second income. I've known friend's partners go part time because they 'don't like their job'. It's not necessarily an advantage to have a partner. If it's the right partner, of course, that person would enhance your life in many ways, but if it's not right, it can be more hassle than being single.

Hello all & welcome to worried jim -

worry no more, we'll soon have you eating choc, drinking wine & buying shoes :D

sarah - a quick one of these :grouphug: for hating your job & your home at the same time :(.

I've been quite succesful with food today - until about half an hour ago when I decided that I had to eat half that last box of choccies just to be rid of them :o. The other half will come in handy as bribes for DD ;).

Things are getting a bit better. We'll see how it goes. Yep, not happy with Nationwide or Oasis or Hastings Direct. Frustrating, but not the end of the world. I will make a few phone calls this week and hopefully get them sorted.

Sorry about your house/work situation. Hating your job is awful. The feeling of dread when you wake up in the morning and when you're sat there praying for hometime. You've got to be happy somewhere though. I don't think being unhappy at work and unhappy at home is very healthy. If it means moving, then it's not great, but it's better than ending up really unhappy.

I feel I should announce to the thread that our very own Lady Lula of Hula has been singled out by Martin to feature in the weekly email (the Crazy Clothes Challenge thread)

I believe our esteemed leader also had this honour (I think this is how I found this thread) and feel we should have a few of these  to celebrate!

Finally your talents have been recognised Lula! :j:j:j:D

ps am officially a Gym bunny - went to 7.30am Spinning before work and 7pm Pilates after work. Both fabulous in very different ways. Feeling virtuous although watched a bit of that 'Big Fat Diet' programme and they had various cakey snacks but instead of being put off by the big calorie count they all had, I was mesmerised by the sight of them!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
