We didn't have any snow until about 20 mins ago and is now coming down really heavily.
However I live a 25 min walk from work so there is no snow day going on for me tomorrow :eek:
I remember in Feb I decided to go in really early so that hopefully no one else would make it in and the office would be closed and I could straight back home but I was beaten in by 3 other people although we did close the office early!
We'll see how much is left tomorrow morning, but looks like I'm walking.....I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Just to let the rest of you single ladies know...don't know if you have been on grabbit but when you buy off lovehoney you get a free pocket vibrator, & they are having a sale, & there is a 10% off code! Oh, and it's free delivery! Just spent £18 and got my weekend sorted!
And, I am pretty sure they count in the 'essentials' section of life, and won't ruin any frugalness!0 -
Morning everyone,
Hope everybody is well and is starting to recover from the festive period. I had to stay off work today, as I spent about 1 hour digging out my car and driving it about 200 yards down the road, then I gave up, so I am stuck in besides the warm fire. what a shame. :j
I suppose I better do some work shortly though.
Take care

Well to finish my lazy holidays in style I have just had a bath for almost 3 hours :eek::eek: It's the first time I've fallen asleep in the bath for ages, I used to do it all the time.
I'm all wrinkly and my hands are very sore
:j:j:j To those getting the day off work (providing it hasn't caused you more hassle when you go back!) I think I'll be going on the bus tomorrow, I'm not risking my car getting damaged, I just can't afford it!And I was meant to be starting support a new family tomorrow but thats another 4 miles further than work so I've cancelled it.
Hope you got home ok Mu55inthemule...
Clarabella, glad you've got your weekend sortedAnd I agree it counts as essentials! Me personally, I'd rather sleep

Aaarrrggghhhh:mad::mad::mad:. Managed to get the bus into town today, everywhere is sold out of wellies:mad:.
Have had a look on the internet and found some, but am now having a dilemma. Found some very cheap ones £5-£10 which look cheap, also some more expensive ones £45, which are a nice colour and look sturdy and lots around £25 ish which look okay. I am effectively trapped in the house as I can't walk far here, except to the corner shop and the bus stop. I cannot get my car out as I don't have a spade. I wouldn't risk driving anywhere anyway. I need some wellies. I can get some nice ones delivered for Friday as long as they are actually doing deliveries as it does say next day delivery.
I do believe that if you buy cheap you buy twice, so do I get the cheap ones? I might only need them for a few days. Might be 3-4 days delivered so might be stuck till Monday but they are only £5 and I am trying to be frugal.
If I get the £25ish ones I can get them for Friday but I don't love them. They look a lot better than the cheap ones though.
If I get the £45 ones they will be here on Friday, they look sturdy and I like them and I think they will last. It's not as if there are always snowdrifts:rolleyes: so I can't imagine I would need another pair for a few years. But they are £45:eek:. I am trying to be frugal. I don't want to fail on Day 6.
I am okay at the moment as I have food in and can get to the shop (in sandals!) but when it turns to ice in the next couple of days I will be stuck. I do not want to fall over again. The entire street becomes an ice rink and it is dangerous.
