Aha rejection here too
Only joking
I think people are right on the not looking thing though, I met my ex on a random night out and was with him 6.5yrs, I had just broken up with someone else a few weeks before so wasn't looking then, well I fancied my ex when I saw him but he was only meant to be a one nighter
Maybe he should have been...oh well no regrets really, I have learnt a lot from the relationship and grown up a lot too as lived with ex too for 5 yrs (now back home for finances) and had some good holidays with him.
Just hoping the next man I fall in love with wants the same commitments I do and doesn't leg it at the thought of babies and buying a home!!! :rolleyes:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I'm at home feeling dreadful, had to leave work after lunch as I have a splitting headache... which hasn't gone with paracetamol or a nap or food or a cup of tea.....
The snow isn't too bad round here but think will be a touch icy tomorrow.
Sarah, I personally don't have wellies and I've managed ok with trainers / walking boots. I don't find wellies that comfy to wear for long periods and I don't know how much use you would get out of them.
TBH i would go for the bargain pair. £45 is a lot for a pair of boots you are only going to wear a few times a year. Esp if this is the year of being frugal!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Well lilmissmup I already own my house and I have always wanted kids, so I am sure there is somebody out there who is similair to you and me.

Lots of snow here today so I decided to leave the car and walk into work. It was fine going in but it's all compacted and frozen now so it's really slippery. Luckily a colleague gave me a lift home but not looking forwards to the walk tomorrow - I think my walking boots might just be the way forwards (but they won't match my outfit ). The last 2 hours of the day were spent huddled in a 'meeting' in my boss's office - the only warm room in the building since the museum closed early through lack of visitors and all the heating got turned off. Brrrrr.
I've set myself a challenge today - my savings are starting to look healthy again and I don't want to have to break into them for car tax, house insurance etc. Although I put money aside for those exact reasons, I've now decided it would be nicer to have as a start to my house deposit  so I've made a list of how much I'd need...starting with £150 car tax in April...and I'm planning to use that as a target to make extra money, whether that's ebaying or selling some bits in the gallery at work. It's a huge figure overall really when compared to my wages (about 10% of my year's earnings) so a bit daunting, but I think if I break it into chunks it's won't be too bad. Fingers crossed!0 -
Hello lovelies,
sorry you're feeling rough makeup, wish you better soon :grouphug:
on the subject of abbreviations what's 'lmao' ?
sarah - am totally the wrong person to advise on wellies - I have basic green ones from the garden centre but the sole is not very well cleated, fine for allotmenteering but not too fab for snow - although have been fine today.
Have to agree with Gwen really, Hunters are the best but sooooo much money if you wont wear that often. I'm contemplating a pair as a long term investment.
In your situation I'd probably go for cheap ones as they will keep your feet dry & as TDQ said, only crampons are really going to stop you falling over & the snow will probably be gone by the weekend ... although I've just had a text to say that DDs school shut again tomorrow :rolleyes:0 -

I'll join that club too please! Although, the last guy I was seeing started talking mortgages about 2 months into the relationship and I'm ashamed to say it was me legging it that time
My long term (4 years, engaged) ex told me he'd leave me if I got pregnant...like you lilmissmup, I don't regret the time I spent with him but when I remember comments like that I realise why I'm well shot!!0 -

Yeah annoying thing with my ex is he said he wanted them too at times, even spent a month seriously looking at baby stuff with me 7 months later leaves me cos he can't give me what I want then come back into my life 3 mths later saying maybe he does want a baby and maybe with me and lots of mind games.
Sorry for rant, things have been a lot better for last 7 weeks or so since we spoke (i had to change my phone number as was sick of random texts) but it would have been much better if he left and not played games!
I am hoping 2010 brings me a gorgeous FWB if not a relationship, singledom might do me good for a while to find me again! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I will second that lilmissmup, I am not ready for a serious relationship after just splitting up with my girlfriend, but I hope 2010 I find a FWB!!! lol

It's ok, he's politely ignored me so I think he's all yours:rotfl::p
I hate it when guys play games like that...they do then they don't, it's all very unfair, especially when they know it's something you want. Sounds like you're better off without him hun - sometimes cold turkey is the best thing, as hard as it is!
I love the idea of FWB but I'd probably only end up getting attached :rolleyes:0
