I've decided to knuckle down and save for a deposit to buy by own house. I think it'll take me a good 2 years though! Got to start somewhere..

:hello: I'm sure I'll be rambling plenty about it! Houses are a bit of a passion of mine and I can talk about them for HOURS - I did up my last one with my ex and pulled out enough money to afford my own place, I've nearly finished doing this one up now. One of my exes was a landlord/developer and the last house I fell in love with I couldn't get a mortgage on...did manage to bag the hunky estate agent for a while though :rotfl: I'd love to work as an interior designer, but I live in a small town and there'd be no demand for it here. Keep holding out for estate agent jobs coming up!
Rosa, that does sound promising! Put some facebook stalking to good use(surely it's not just me who goes through photos/wall posts etc for clues about someone?!)
I'm trying to ween (sp?) myself off facebook - the hunky estate agent was all about how I'd broken his heart and he was off women a couple of months ago, sending me flirty drunken texts last week and now his status has changed to 'in a relationship' it's my own fault for searching for him, but I hate that I never find out anything good on there!0 -

Bibbitybob... I'd get yourself off there! I did in September, it was only meant to be for a month but I really didn;t miss it atall and not tempted to go back on yet. I sometimes go on my Sister's if I know there's photos that friends have put on but thats about it. I think I was quite possibly the worst facebook stalker ever! I'd be up all night looking at profiles of people I didn't even know. It's photos, I could look at them all day and night (and I did!!) especially wedding photos!
There were a few people on there that I didn't have any other contact with so I just sent them few a message with my email address and told them to keep in touch.
Gwen I know what you mean about pedestrians  I just have days when everyone seems to walk infront of me. Worse when it's snowing though coz it's not like you always have the choice of stopping in those conditions!
:grouphug: for you while you're having a naff time, try and keep positive :A
I am :rotfl:here.... my DD must have overheard me saying I'm hoping to get to bed earlier, so she's put a piece of paper on my bedroom door, and a pen. I've got to write on it what time I go to bed and what time I get up in the morning :rotfl: I asked her what time I have to be in bed for, she said 11:30pm:eek: I asked her of I'm ok to stay awake till 12 though and it seems I'm allowedBless her!! It's been nice to finally have an evening at home together, we've watched a bit of hollyoaks we missed last week on 4od and then we had tea before playing some board games she got for xmas. She beat my 4-2  And I didn't even let her win
Then she wanted to play cards but I said we'll save that for tomorrow. There's only so many times one person needs to be beaten in one night

That's my excuse for staying on really - there are a couple of people I only really keep in touch with on there. But I spend a bit too much time looking at other people's photos and feeling jealous of how good their lives seem to be...everyone else seems to be getting engaged or married or having babies and whilst I am happy for them, I can't help the little green eyed monster raising his head when I see
Lol ziggles - knowledge certainly is power! Lucky you getting a handbag, do we get to see pics?0 -
Thanks Rosa
Oooh, sounds promising! Have you added him? Is there any sign of a gf?
Gwenx
Have added him, sent 'hello' message, had reply about 'saw ex-flatmate accepted your link and thought would add you as well, how are you' - interesting as have actually been linked with ex-flatmate for over a year- sent update saying am in town every week, no further news yet. No idea about gf, plenty of photos with girls but they have a really big close group of mixed friends and I gather he's quite fussy. Hadn't googled him but now you mention it...
Anyway a good boost as he's a lovely friend even if nothing else comes of it. And nice to remember that good things can arrive out of the blue! Following slight goddessing frenzy have realised that I've not really been doing enough of this so adding to resolutions!
I'll keep you updated

Now bibbitybob, How do you know their lives are fab just because they're getting married/having babies? They might be having a rotten time and envy you your freedom you know. The grass isn't always greener girly. XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0

bibbitybob... I have to agree with Souk.
I've had a married guy trying it on with me for the whole 9 months he's been married. If you looked at his pictures you'd think him and his wife had everything you could dream of. Yet, he's sending other girls 'love you' messages and trying to kiss them at every opportunity! It's only over xmas I seem to have finally got the message through to him! I know not all marriages are like that, but peoples lives aren't always what they seem on photos. And that's only one example, the other day I was at my Sisters house with my friend and between the 3 of us we had 8 blokes pestering us that were either married/engaged or had babies on the way
Just wish we were as popular with singles blokes but no chance :rotfl:Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Thanks souk and bowski
I know you're both spot on, I really do, but that sometimes doesn't make it any easier!
I had an engaged guy try it on with me (and my boss, and at least one other girl I work with...) last year and it made me realise I'd much rather be single than with a bloke like him! Does make me wonder where all the lovely, unattached guys are hiding
Just had a lovely long shower...shaved, scrubbed and pampered. Going to make a cuppa and curl up with a book for a bit I think. Night all0 -

Facebook can be evil. Don't keep exes on it or look them up, caused me so much heartbreak these last few months.
Then again saying that I keep staring at my crushes photos, if anyone watches eastenders my crush is only 22 and looks like the new boy Todd in Eastenders:D:D
Sadly I tried to get his phone number and failed a couple of months ago!
I haven't had any joy with any men since I have been single for nearly six months now, shame, any attention would be nice even if they are taken!!! Not even held someones hand! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
