Lots of lazing around today (I blame it on the snow ), finished my book, finished some champagne truffles :o, and had a bit of a cry watching Elvis :o

We need to conserve energy in winter ;)

I have now finished all the yummy snacks & treats in the house apart from 2 boxes of chocs that are safe while unopened.

Rosa mentioned being a chocolate snob & I think this is the way to go :D. Rather than scoff cheap stuff, I will occasionally treat myself to fabulous & delicious chocs that are to be savoured.

Well it works for me :D
(though have to confess the Lindt chucked in the supermarket trolley isn't exactly occasional)

Am clearly not accustomed to having free time as having to restrain myself from reading textbooks. Guests gone, digital TV has just as much carp as terrestrial, house is almost tidy and saving pile of ironing for tomorrow when there will be more dry to join it. Think will go back to Fay Weldon book on What Makes Women Happy (her answer so far - nothing, not for more than ten minutes anyway :rotfl:)

Must get on to landlord next week though. Kitchen and bathroom now officially so cold you can see your breath so need compensatory features sorted to remind me why am staying here til finish the masters. Have just redone snowball and worked out that I should be debt free around the same time :j, if stick with current payments, so then I can think about what to do next. Also booked car in for new tyres - from money set aside in car budget! and am rather confused at the lack of panicky feeling.

Just done some more shopping which i didn't desperately need but will help eke out what I already have. Got another 4 pack of beans as they are so bargainous, some cheese spread, digestives and soda water, total £2.75 and I am going to try now to not do any more food shopping except bread and milk for the next 2 weeks.

I need petrol but will wait until tomorrow. I have lots of little housework jobs to be getting on with and at some stage I need to take the books and clothes that have been hanging round for ages to the charity shops.

I weighed myself yesterday and I have put on 1lb over Christmas which is not too bad considering, but I will leave my sig as it is and only start counting once I am back to that weight.

Today I am going to crack on with getting my 100 list done:j. Will report back later:D

    Hi

    Welcome AllBuyMyself

Sorry to hear about your current single status MoneyFritter, but I agree with the others, ending a relationship with somebody by text is cowardly and immature. You deserve better than that.

Well done for only gaining 1lb Sarahb...I feel like I've put on at least a stone :o My diet also starts tomorrow Shoe Gal, although I'm still not sure what the diet is  If anybody has any good weight loss suggestions that aren't too much faff (I don't really do weighing stuff) and won't leave my stomach rumbling like a volcano is erupting, I'd love to hear them.

Does anybody else have really bad Sunday night blues tonight? I've been off work for two weeks now and I really don't want to go back :o The weather probably isn't helping...the thought of trekking through the snow (alright, only to my car...which is outside my house ) and driving with all the snow and ice isn't good. I just know the traffic's going to be bad aswell and I'm sure the office will be freeeezing :( I wish I could work from home. I maybe wouldn't mind so much if I didn't have to go out at all, I could just stay in my cosy house and sit on the sofa working away...it's not going to happen though.

    Gwenx
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

    Mine too:D.

Am currently trying to get myself in the right mood to do my 100 list, am reading a self help book at the moment as am feeling a bit anxious about this year (already). icon9.gif I will feel better when I have it straight in my mind what I want to achieve this year, it's all a bit of a muddle at the moment.

Am looking forward to the start of Celebrity BB later:j
