Had a fab New Year till I saw the ex, and he said are you avoiding me, course not I came out to enjoy myself not be bored to the back teeth, but there you go.
I'm up to 28 on my list of 100, I'm listing everything including moneysaving ideas mainly so I don't forget them and so I can read it back to remind myself what I want to achieve, and 1 of them is buy a wood burning stove for my room before September, keep thinking might get it cheaper in July cos who'll be buying 1 then.
Lula get a nectar card as Sarah say's there handy, you can use the points in argos, and I read a post somewhere on here someone uses there points for replacing stuff, like kettles and stuff, so I'm saving my points till I need something, at least it'll be cheaper.0 -
Hi eco,
thanks for the nectar advice & sarah too :A I particularly like the idea of being able to use them on amazon as I try to get all my survey points converted to amazon vouchers & it does annoy me that I dont get cashback when shopping on there.
I now have woodburner envy, the chimney in my living room was bricked up when the central heating was installed.
My dream victorian villa / cottage will have fireplaces with big squashy armchairs pulled up close & bookcases & cupboards in the recesses ... need somehwere to put my glass0 -

My house is over 100 years old and I know the chimney's good, and I've found a good source for logs, just think it will be better than central heating as that's my only heating and if that goes in winter I'll die, been thinking of getting one for years, and I think it will save money in the long run.0 -
What are you doing in MY dream house?
Holding out my empty glass for you to refill of course :rotfl:
Shoe Gal - thanks for that tip about magazines :A
eco - good idea to think beyond central heating, I've often wondered how I'd cope without. My place is rented & it was only 9 years ago that the heating was put in. We had electric radiators in the bedrooms, a gas fire in the living room & a 500watt lightbulb i the bathroom. The hall used to be known as the arctic wasteland & my heating bill is less now than all those years ago. I cant bear to be cold & the heating has been on all day for 2 weeks now  Roll on monday when work & term begins & we can go back to it being off from 8 until 3 again0 -
I love the central heating but think it's a bit of a waste heating up the whole house for 1 person, if I had a woodburner at least downstairs would be warm, and I could use the heating less.0

Lots of lazing around today (I blame it on the snow ), finished my book, finished some champagne truffles
, and had a bit of a cry watching Elvis

Have just been looking at some of the sales on the internet:eek:. I had to shut them down. I must not do that again:rolleyes:. Only 363 days to go. Must not look, must not look.
I just joined topcashback after reading some of the reviews on here. I now have 6p pending:D. I think I'm not going to earn much cashback this year due to not spending, so I may have to start doing the daily clicks. I lose patience with them so easily though:rolleyes:
On the subject of heating, my house is always boiling, the heating is off and I am sat here next to an open window and I'm still too hot:mad:.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
I had originally planned to go into town to mooch around the sales today - but there's too much snow! So, by default, a NSD for me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0
