Single and in Debt Part 3- The problem of surplus and excess women

Well am stuffing my face with christmas cake and pringles as have to finish off my 'bad' food by tomorrow.
I'm roughly following the Sonoma diet which basically involves eating only wholegrains, lean proteins, veg & fruit and getting your fat from things like nuts, avocado and olive oil. It is a good one to lose weight with although I did find that I felt hungry at first until i got used to it. Although of course the wholegrains are filling but I'm used to snacking away!
I've mealplanned roughly for the week and although going out for a meal on tuesday, we're going to Wagamama so can be healthy there.
I'm also intending to go to a spinning class tomorrow.
I just hope I can keep all this up!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Hi Folks,
I just had a chinese tonight and ate the last of the biscuits. Fitness regime starts tommorow. Off to the gym after work, determined to get into shape and get a six pack this year. lol
Been decorating all day, trying to keep busy and finally get stuff done on the house.

Me too Sarah, me too!
Wow, you're so organised. I've made a sandwich for tomorrow, but I'm anticipating the purchase of something warm as I expect to be frozen in the office.
Good luck with the job application! Good start to the new year. I should start looking for something else really, after my brief exploration of other things last year.
Gwenx
Thanks gwen. I do love the job I currently do, and will be very sad to leave, but I've been there a year without a contract and performing the job above my post on the minimum wage. I know money isn't everything, but I'm sure you all know that without another body to help pay the mortgage it's hard to have no security! But I've spent a whole year being made promises by my boss and nothing happening, so I've decided that now is the time to take charge and stop moaning
And this whole organised lark probably won't last past Wednesday :rotfl: I work next door to a big Sainsbury's and it's too easy to spent £3 a day on lunch. I've decided to add a little more to my food shopping bill and hopefully save money in the long run by making tasty lunches. Starting with lime cous cous with quorn chicken and advocado. Yum!
Everyone's 100 list sounds great. I did one a while ago and keep thinking of doing similar now. Not really a resolution for the year, more just an action plan. Easier for me to stick to that way  are they private, or are you going to share and support each other? Just curious!
sarahb - what book are you reading? I've just got a couple out the library, and have another I started a few weeks back but find it hard going to read more than a chapter at a time. Always looking for recs!
makeup - that diet sounds fab, very much like I'm trying to do. I also LOVE your sig...I need to print something like that out and stick it to my wall to remind myself when I'm feeling the need to spend!!0 -
Thanks Bibbitybob - although my sig is somewhat fraudulent - went out today and spent £32 on art books - much reduced but still
I'm considering putting 'learn the Beyonce Single Ladies dance routine' on my 2010 list...I think I need something challenging yet fun?I've got my own flat :j:j

Am flicking through my vast collection of self help books at the moment as I can't settle on one. Am just not in the mood today. I think I am going to have to start visiting the library as I spend a lot of money on books.

Sarah, step away from the self help books!!!! All that malarkey just makes you feel worse as they tell you what to do and you know deep down that you know what works for you. Come on now, put it down!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

I ended up doing an 'interpretative modern dance' to Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights this NYE with a good friend of mine (much hilarity to all) so maybe for this years NYE () I'll do the Beyonce one!I've got my own flat :j:j

Both the art books and Beyonce dance sound greatthe punchy arm things she does really cracks me up though. I'm starting back at street dance this week - the only exercise I've managed to stick to lately. What books did you buy? *nosy* I went to the Tate at Liverpool this morning so feeling very inspired (not done anything about it other than take a couple of arty photos on the walk back to the hotel though )

ThanksI downloaded The Secret a few weeks back - I do agree that a lot of self help can be claptrap, and this is no different, but it does help to give me a boost when I need it. And especially if I'm tired, it's easier to watch a DVD than read. I have a couple of audiobooks in itunes too.
