Hey y'all
Firstly - Sarah - you've had some great advice on here already and certainly can't emulate that. However just wanted to add my support. You are F Fabulous, and you deserve to have your dreams come true.
I've always been rubbish at meeting men, so not sure I can give the best advice. However I have been to a wedding for one of my best friends who met her husband online and also know of a couple living together who met online. Another of my friends has had a lot of success online, although a lot of that in the FWB category, however she is now dating someone she was at school with although she reconnected with him on a dating site!!! I'll see if I can get some recommendations for good dating sites...
My Christmas did improve althogh my mum wasn't well so that put a damper on things.
I got a fab coaster in my stocking though, one of those 'Edward Monckton' pictures on it. A picture of a clothes shop with the following written underneath:
'Buy me, Lady', said the frock, ' and I will make you into a beautiful and whole and complete human being'
'Do not be silly' said the man, 'for a frock alone cannot do that'
'True' said the lady 'I will have the shoes and the bag as well'
I immediatly thought of this thread :rotfl::rotfl:
Am back home now and enjoying the peace of being on my own and stuffing my face with shortbread, nibbles, chocolates and other festive foods!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction

Hopefully below is going to be the link for the itemiser challenge I said I'd post for Sarahb over on my diary but thought I'd post it here in case it'd be any help to anyone else.

Hope that works ....
Makeup I love the sound of your coaster
I've just posted on your diary, I've only just stumbled across it, I should start looking on the diaries board more often
Sorry to hear about your Mum being ill, I hope she's fully recovered now. Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21
Overpayment pot - £00 -
Hi all
Hope you've all been having fun over Christmas :xmassmile
TDQ - I hope you're feeling better now.
Sarahb - I was going to reply yesterday, but was then persuaded to go shopping. I totally agree with Lula...you shouldn't stress about getting a house on your own. Prioritise meeting a man and everything else may well fall into place. If I'm totally honest I feel like I've wasted years of my life because I've thought 'no man will want me...', 'look at my house, it's a state, I couldn't invite a man back here...', or 'I'll meet a man when I have my life sorted' and other negative thoughts, but the truth is the right man will not be bothered whether you have a house or not, what your wardrobe is like etc, etc. Just put yourself out there and give him a chance to find you
makeup - Sorry to hear about your Mum. Glad you're enjoying your time off though and relaxing.
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

Hey ladies, Sarah you sound a bit more like yourself today. Do what you have to do lady to get to your goal.
And as for the above, in the meantime (or always!) why don't you make yourself feel special and have people think 'God she's fabulous!'
Here's to you Sarah for 2010.:j'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hello Gorgeous Girls & Guys,
sarah, really good to hear you sounding positive, determined & focused :A - although I'm not sure it's entirely necessary at 'that' time of the morning :D
I'm so pleased for you, because I know that when you set your mind to something ... you make it happen. Look at how brilliantly you've done with losing weight :j.
Since I joined in here I've wavered & flitted between goals & not actually achieved any of them
A quick recap :
- This time last year I meant to redecorate my bedroom ... The paint, rollers, brushes & all other equipment are still in the corner
I got bored/gave up on that idea so came up with a new plan :
- I decided to meet a new man ...Those who were here may remember those sagas; hence becoming a BAV until further notice
That didnt work out so, I decided to get new 0% CC to do a balance transfer to ...The result of that project was another £800 worth of shiny new debt
Tried my hand at being Old Style; making hobnobs & batch cooking ...Result : another half a stone in weight
It hasnt all been disaster; I did redecorate the living room, had a great holiday, have made goddessing a regular part of my life & most importantly succeeded in getting a new job & overall the debt has gone down.
I think I was just trying to do too much & I dont want to do that again.
My size/weight really, really bothers me
My debt really bothers me
My home being cluttered & untidy really bothers me
My sporadic social life bothers me.
My family's dramas often bother me
My single status sometimes bothers me
My home not being perfectly decorated & furnished occasionally bothers me.
Too many things are not as I wish them to be & just knowing that bothers me . But I struggle to be effective if I spread myself too thin so I have a plan :
I am going to focus on dealing with the first 3 & not worry about the rest, literally file them out of my mind as things to deal with when I have taken control of the 3 most irksome & depressing matters.
The Healthy Eating For Life plan begins on 30th December.
The Debt Demolition plan begins on 31st December.
The Decluttering & Tidying plan begins on 2nd January.

Bowski - have you updated us on your big Boxing Day night out??

How did it go? I hope everyone appreciated how F Fabulous you looked in your fancy frock!
Lula - although the things you tried may not have worked out (and PoF debacle hardly your fault!) at least you gave them a go. At least you now know that making batches of Twinks Hob Nobs is not way forward for weightloss plan and that actually decorating your bedroom is not the priority you thought it was.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction

Thanks makeup,
Spent far too much time faffing about & not being focused
That coaster sounds great, made me laugh out loud :rotfl:& also recognise that a huge part of my wanting to clear the debt asap is so that I can be that woman
.
I am so looking forward to that first fabulous payday shopping trip when I spend the money I've earned, rather than the money I will have to repay

...and received loads of Amazon vouchers which I intend to blow on !!!!!! shoes! :j I am considering PleaserUSA Delight 165 in black/ white OR black/ red, Kiss 208 in clear OR Kiss 204 in clear. I am going to order two pairs as one is bound not to fit so honest opinions please!
Prefered the black ones - will you be able to walk in them though? if so, you have my respect!.....

How are these being actioned? Good plans start with baby steps, like throwing all the junk food away etc ..... hope you dont mind me being nosey, I love a good plan
So whats everyone doing for New Year? The forecast is for snow here, so I think any plans I have may get scuppered.
Sarah - have you thought about E-Harmony dating website, I have no idea what its like but have always been quite tempted by the ads....Debt free date - 4th December 2008 :j0
