Oh no, Buffy, you poor thing. Have you come down with a cold or something? Would a lovely soak in the bath with fancy smelly bubbles help at all??
Don't sneak out - you're among friends!
Why not see if we can cheer you up at all???
*runs off to find dodgy hug icon**breathing heavily - does this count as my workout for today*
FOUND IT!
:grouphug:

:grouphug:
seems like the occasion for two well dodgy hugs
Thank you Make up, it does count as your work out - you will be up that mountain in no time!
I just think I haven't seen any friends since Christmas Eve and although the rest of the house is tidy(sort of) my room has suffered and so I feel exactly as I do every Christmas(rubbish, tired, too much work, don't even get me started on work.) even tho I know this Christmas it won't take much to sort it out, plus I haven't over spent (well I don't think so, final cc bill pending!) but I have n't been out, which I should have, just sat around the house. Remind me that isn't good!
ugh. I will go out tomorrow and I shall go upstairs in a sec to finish moving furntiure.
cheers hon xxxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Wow, that's the most fun I've had in ages
I'm in awe of your trekking makeup, would love to do stuff like that, am going to have a belated gap year when DD grown up & plan to do all sorts of crazy & fun things.
I have repacked the second pair of boots back in the box & will return them tomorrow. Have just saved myself another £50 there
. I do however, have various items in my virtual basket at figleaves.com
but this is ok because I have a 10% dicsount code thanks to Faith purchases & they're also on Topcashback
.
I'm having my own special cheese, crackers & gin party tonight, just stocking up on delicious things before I commence my fasting tomorrow.
Have also finished off the olives & fetta cheese with peppers & garlic that was in the fridge. All the opened chocolates have now gone & so have the biscuits so I am steadily working my way through the temptations. Iam such a heroine :rotfl:0 -
Hello
My internet has been very dodgy for the last few days, it keeps going offline randomly for hours on end.
Been bad news here, I woke up yesterday morning to find out that a girl I know from uni died in her sleep. I wasn't close to her but I've known her since my first year and she's a regular face on nights out etc. Bad times. The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha
I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -
Sorry to hear that TDQ,it's awful when something like that happens. Especially i its been out of the blue, not expected at all.
The same happened to one of my best friends, she rang yesterday to say her stepdad had died during the night, not really sure why, poss a heart attack. She now has to tell her 3 children, they were all really close to him as well as they lived at their house for quite a long while.
Such a horrible time of year for it to happen, that poor girls family. Hope your OK by it all?0 -
Yeh I'm not upset at all as I really only knew her through friends. Has certainly got me thinking. The drummer of one of my favorite bands passed away on the 28th too, he was only 28. What is it about this time of year that makes so many people pop their clogs??The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. ... I got the 'Yeah! I made it myself' book for Xmas from one of my friends! :j Very excited about all the fabby clothes that will make over the coming year!! Also excited about learning to knit, it is ridiculous that I'm unable to do this as I can do most other sewing type stuff.
....
Yay to cool presents! Do you like it?I am a bit scared about the Nepal thing, to be honest, I'm really unfit and weigh tons more than I should.:o Although I ride a bike, it is only 10mins to and from work and I eat far too many treats which cancels out the benefit.
......
Am intending to join gym, I get works discount which makes it £30 per month and that includes all classes, swimming and the gym itself and also sauna / jacuzzi - which I think I will need!
Since you already cycle to work and back could you just change your route to make it a bit longer and get more exercise that way? You could increase it by 5 mins every week so you can build up slowly and not lose motivation, and you would save money on the gym at the same time..........Been bad news here, I woke up yesterday morning to find out that a girl I know from uni died in her sleep. Sorry to hear that....one of the regulars at my local died the weekend before Christmas, froze to death, turned out he had been sleeping rough, and hadnt asked anyone for help, presumably from pride. Makes me think how lucky I am to have the family and friends I do, but also how scary life is, I dont want to think about how scary/sad/lonely it must be to be 89, sleeping in a park and feeling that there isnt anyone you could/would ask for help.
Sorry for such a depressing ramble...am going to sneak off and eat choc now....Debt free date - 4th December 2008 :j0 -
Hi all, sorry to hear your sad news Clarabella and TDQ, what a sad story Carole, such a horrible thing to happen.

Buffy, hope you are feeling better now, it's horrible when that feeling strikes.
Makeup, what a brilliant idea to go trekking, you are very brave, hope you manage to get to do it, I would love to be able to take some time off and do something different, probably more of a sight seeing than a trekking thing though:D
ShoeGal, I hope you are okay, you have been quiet recently, well done on your weighloss:j I might not weigh myself for a couple of weeks to allow things to settle, have been eating anything in sight for the last week:o
I went to do a food shop yesterday, went really early so it was nice and quiet and managed to get lots of bargains, especially on festive chocs etc, have got quite a few selection boxes etc stashed away for next year so I don't feel deprived when I need a small treat.
Have avoided the sales as I hate getting crushed in the crowds but I might venture out later to see if there is anything worth getting as I only have 3 spending days left:eek:. I must make the most of them:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
