Evening all
Went with Tatco...but i hate them and wish i'd just gone to Curry's instead but too late now.
they didn't hav the 2 games free they said they did this morning so i am now sans the free games...i have an IOU for them but its too late for shipping and seriously...i had to fight for that even...:mad::mad:
Currys would have been more mullah and probably proper service from the adolescents in there as opposed to the grumpy old coo in tatco!!!!!
OMG Forefox...seriously turn on the heating even for an hour......is that even healthy....good grief woman:eek::eek:Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all, hope everyone is okay. Had to do some spending today, I have no food in and hadn't been shopping for a couple of weeks so had to go to Sainsbury's to stock up, spent £40:eek: and just don't seem to have much to show for it:rolleyes:. Did not get any wine or chocs as I have quite enough already so it was all food. It should have been a lot less but was tired and not in the mood for bargain hunting. I got 380 nectar points which softened the blow slightly:rolleyes:.
I also received my tesco vouchers for the last couple of months, for a whole £1:rolleyes:, so I now have £42 in vouchers. I spent a large part of today looking at a bag on the M&S website, with discount codes I managed to get it reduced from £89 to £70 but I decided against it as I am supposed to be saving.
I have my work's night out tomorrow so will have to rush home form work to get sorted and then go and make small talk for hours:rolleyes:. I am just so worn out at the moment that I think the effort is going to leave me having to spend the weekend in bed and I still have all last week's housework to catch up on. I cannot describe how much I am looking forward to the Christmas holidays just so I can have a proper rest. :rolleyes:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Hey fabbies,
FireFox - you lunatic put the heating on now, your organs will get frostbite
Hurray for lottery win Gwen - that is so fab I'm really pleased for you :j
RosaBernicia- I am very very  for you, that's really pants
Grrr to Tatco Ziggles, have just given them £75 of my cash tonight & it makes me feel sick
Not however, as sick as I felt whilst backing away from the most beautiful bag I have ever seen( since Ruby the Red that is ). There I was in TK MAxx, having a good old rummage & picking up bits for DD & I decided to wander over to the bag section in the vain hope that a fabulous black suede one would be waiting there for me ... it wasnt . But there; hanging up & surrounded by nasty fake croc ones was a vision of gorgeousness:happyhear. Soft, squashy leahter in a sumptuous & seductive auberginey purple colour. the fixings were silver rather than gold or brass colour - which is fab as I only wear silver jewellery -. The inside was a cream satin, there were pockets & phone holders & it was almost as gorgeous as Johnny Depp :heartpuls I held it close & squinted at the price tag ........ £139. Very resonable for a dkny leather bag  & I felt that thrilling quickening of the pulse at the sheer thrill of indulgence & knowing that I could actually buy it without resorting to the CC. I told myself that it could be a christmas & birhtday present to myself. I reasoned that it could be a celebratory new job type present - to myself  I looked at similar coloured bags at half the price but they had very bright shiny gold coloured foxings & just didnt appeal. I picked up the gorgeous one again, then thought that perhaps it was rather large for me, put it back & walked away feeling real physical pain
.
The karmic payback for my self denial is worth it though. I had been struggling to get a particular gift for DD & was losing hope, had tried every toy store on the internet & the only place was Amazon but at twice the price  I went to collect a couple of items I had reserved at a store & asked about the other item I couldnt get & bizarrely they had one being delivered in to the store tomorrow which is now reserved for me
I also got a fab online deal with The Body Shop. Still seething at having missed out on the previous deal there I logged on to Quidco & they were offering £5 off any order. Body Shop were doing 3 for 2 on gifts so including those & my membership discount I spent £19 on £42 worth of goodies
Also did a huge Tatco household & toiletries shop which will last well into the new year - loads of bargains & bogofs to be had. Still spent a small fortune £75 _pale_ & the only consumables I emerged with were 3 packs of super noodles, 3 mini pots of custard a 4 pack of baked beans ... a bottle of Disaronno & a bottle of Gordons ( only £10 each :j)
How fortuitous that I have one slice of lemon left in the fridge - Lulas Karmic Law in action0 -
hi all
grrrr @ Tatco
Sarah if you are shattered how about making your excuses early from work do? You shouldn't need to be wiped out at the weekend.
On bright side of uni bill, they've finally annoyed me enough that I've got my MS bug back. Have just revised budget, cancelled three debits that weren't essential, remembered I have £80 worth of stuff to return that can be done tomorrow, dug out a stamp to claim a free book I'd forgotten about, sorted expense claim receipts, and am about to sort registering PAYG phone so can claim for all work calls. Hah. Also going to have holiday from specsavers scheme. It all helps.

Yippee to deals and vouchers ladies! December seems to be ticking along nicely. I'm tired tonight and off to bed with a custard cream or two! Weight back down to 9'1. Think I'm giving up to be honest. Wobble wobble X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Rosa - can you dispute this bill. Sounds most unfair if you were in middle of seeking guidance from a tutor rather than doing nothing and just not bothering to let them know the situation?!
Certainly worth a strongly worded letter ! Do you have emails or letters from your communications with your tutor about dropping out / staying on course?
I was out tonight for a lovely curry and a visit to the Womens library.
I'm frantically checking my emails every five mins as waiting for an Amazon voucher to order Christmas pressies. Plus I need another one and so am having to write endless Dooyoo reviews in order to firstly qualify for a voucher and then actually receive the darned thing....am going to see if can write a review about Baileys....I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
hi makeup
I might manage to dispute it but need to talk to another tutor to do so - waiting on reply to email. And I have nothing in writing, or email, it was all by phone and is partly my fault for not following up, tho I was a bit swamped with starting the masters course which is the reason I had to drop the other one! Certainly they'll have to darn well chase me for it. But it's amazing how much money I am saving by not having to trek to college, pay for books, pay for online journals etc (the new course is at a decent uni which actually has proper library access) so if I have to pay it I will just to be finally free of the barstewards.
I think reviewing drinks is perfectly sensible... well it will be when you first try it...
btw stuff I ordered from Amazon last week already dispatched and some received, looks like they are geared up for the busy season!

I am honestly not cold: have been wearing a fleece but no gloves, hat or thermal undies! The flat was chilly at lunchtime so I did some cleaning, then went to IKEA with my mum, then popped the hot blanket on and have been fine. Just checked now and it is still 14C, must get a lot of benefit from neighbours?
Funny-cute video clip to make you all!!
