:j for Cava deal, must look into myself.
Sarah - a while back you were on about a company that works like those mobile phone recyclers. I got a bag from a company called www.simplydrop.co.uk and they accept digital cameras as well as MP3 players and mobile phones. I've got one of their envelopes which I can post to you if need it but I'm sure the website can send you one as well?!
I've decided to keep two pairs of jeans and a set of two pairs of pj's from Simply Be - works out to be £40 which is pretty reasonable and should last me.
Lula - are you doing clothes challenge in 2010? I will join in!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Hey ladies,
Glad we all sound a bit happier today. I've just made some lovely lentil soup with a ham hough and my freezer is full. Done loads of washing too and Xmas shopping finished, apart from a few online bits so very chuffed with myself.
Work starting to get very busy. Off to bed. I'm knackered!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Thanks makeup:T:A, will definitely have a look into that, I checked my Boots points today and I have £93 so will definitely have a look at a camera I can get with that, would rather have the cash than the points.
Do have a look at the cava deal, I am sipping some as we speak and it is yummy and works out at about £3.15 a bottle:D. I am planning to give some away as Christmas presents teamed with some of my Thorntons bargain chocs- £18 present for £9:j
The only problem is I have found that if there is any left in the bottle when you go to bed you tend to get a nasty shock during the night when the pressure of the gas in the bottle forces the stopper to shoot out with alarming force. Another problem I have just thought of, it also involves having rather more bottles of wine and boxes of chocolates in your posession than strictly necessary. Oh well!;)Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Happy December everybody! :xmassmile
Sounds like it's been a good start to December for us SAID's!! May it continue long into 2010!
Glad you've been paid now Lula, how annoying though  Hopefully it's sorted and you should get paid promptly every month now. Good luck with the home job work! Will this provide extra pennies for Christmas?
Sarahb - Glad you're feeling better and December is already being kinder to you than November was
makeup - £40 for two pairs of jeans and two pairs of PJ's? ExcellentJeans last for ages and ages, a brilliant buy :T
Soup sounds yummy, Souk
Any word on the car, Bowski?

Hi all, glad to hear everybody's sounding more positive.... I am too
The damn car... well I got a friend to jump start it and that worked but as I was putting the jump lead on the battery the ring was loose (can't think of another way to put it sorry). Once we got it started I nipped it to a garage round the corner and the mechanic tested the battery and alternator, said they were both fine and he had no idea what it could be. So when I left work today the same thing had happened, I lifted the bonnet, the ring was coming away from the battery again so I pushed it down and then the car started so I'm guessing it was just thatSeriously hoping it was just that, I'm driving to Manchester tomorrow. I have breakdown recovery through my bank though should I need it.
Thanks for all the messages, I missed them yesterday, I had come online but then went to sort my washing out in the front room, noticed the hamsters cage was open so then spent the rest of the evening hunting for the hamster. It did prompt me to tidy the front room though, it was such a tip! Which then prompted me to tidy the other rooms too, so tonight I'm sat in a lovely tidy home...:j
Wishing each and everyone of you a F Fabulous December :snow_laugInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Hi guys,
Bowski - glad to hear the car seems to be sorted & wish you a safe journey to Manchester
Makeup - sadly, I am doing the crazy clothes challenge again next year, but it will be great to have you along too
Sarah - hurray for christmas shopping & cava, I'm still way behind & will go into panic mode soon
Souk - well done on cooking, shopping & having full freezer
Gwen - am rather relieved that wages have gone in & have been assured that it was a one off mistake
Have not mentioned to Home Job boss about new job as she can be rather spiteful & may just say she doesnt want me anymore, which will be quite crap if Work Job boss says he doesnt want me to stay after 3 months trial is upso I'm going to continue with both until trial period over & just whack as much as I possibly can off the CCs until then. I am doing a lot less than I was though. I also keep hearing stories about the real recession not hitting until Jan or Feb so loath to give up what is essentially an easy job. I wont feel secure until my debts are under £1,000 & I have some emergency cash funds stashed away.
Best get my self organised now & head off to work,
Lula

Hi Everyone,
Got a week off work and I have a cold, so sat in bed typing this, was going to say Bowski does that ring thing have a screw so you can tighten it and it won't come off again.
Hoping to make stew for tea, cos that always makes me feel better, but I have to go up the garden for some veg, so that might not happen.
I think it's time for a nap, and when I'm back online I will be better and more wide awake, I'm not dragging me and everyone else down with my whinging0 -
:rudolf: Yay for December! Need to get some dinner so will post properly later, but wanted to share my positive December news! I won £100 on the work lottery today! :beer:Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0

Well done Gwen:j:j:j What a great start to the month:D.
Not much happening here, am still really tired from being ill last week and I have my work Christmas do at the weekend which I would normally be panicking about as I don't like them, fortunately I am so tired at the moment I can't be bothered to get worked up, I will just go and if I don't like it I will come home, they know I have been ill anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. Am not even bothered about what to wear, will just see what fits:rolleyes:
I have had a whole £5 arrive in my account from quidco today which has gone into my quidco account, hopefully I will have some more tracking by the weekend after Christmas shopping. I also got the Baileys advent calendar which makeup had, but still no sign of the damned freebie.:mad:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
