Ooops, that's me :o Sorry Souk!

No honestly Gwen, these people buy something and return it EVERY DAY. This one woman has bought a top in 3 different sizes and returned them all. Ridiculous!

Spoke to normal sis earlier, she's had the invoice for the memorial bench £630 . I then opened email from distant yet curiously interfering aunt. My other & completely abnormal sis has been whingeing about being left out again ... hmmm does she mean left out from not thanking me for presents sent to her & 2 offspring ? Or left out from not even Fuciking bothering to reply to my Dads letter about said memorial bench & tree planting ? Wonder just how left out she's going to feel when asked if she would care to share the cost of bench .

Oh & just to make things even more fun, having just assured my sis that I can easily do a transfer to her account for my share of the bill ... my wages have not appeared in my account

 No wages? Oh dear, Lula. Hopefully work will get onto the wages situation asap and get it sorted.

Not much I can say about the family situation, they manage to drive you absolutely nuts! Can't believe she didn't thank you for presents that you gave to them though!!

What on earth is wrong with our collective karma . Are we not truly fabulous, kind & caring peeps who deserve better than this !!!!!!.

We need some very serious & intense positive thinking here.

Exactly. What on earth is going on here:confused:. Something odd is happening in SAIDland. Hopefully this means we are all going to have the best end to a year we have had in a long time. We do deserve better than this and you are right Lula, there is something very wrong indeed with our collective karma at the moment.

I used to really love winter but I am seriously fed up with it at the moment, too dark and cold and making everything feel depressing, even the cava and chocolate eclairs have had no effect.icon9.gif Am dreading finding out the car won't start and just not looking forward to tomorrow at work at all.

Great to hear that you have social life Rosa & a gay flatmate is definitely a bonus. I bet he doesnt leave the seat up ;) I totally understand your feelings of vulnerability now that relationship is an actual possibility rather than a fantasy.

*shudders at the mention of internet dating* :rotfl: not completely recovered from that epsisode yet & currently 'hiding' behind excuses of work & DD & the need for a clean organized home :o

I've just totted up the direct debits due to flee my account this week & it's lucky that I decided to have Child Benefit paid into my current account from this month as that's the only thing preventing a big bounce & consequent charges. I am not the patient type & the thought of having to wait another 10 hours until I can politely enquire as to the whereabouts of my wages is already winding me up, to say nothing of the fact that I had planned a splurge on the final day of The Body Shops 30% off deal  I am now losing potential Quidco cash too :mad: which has reminded that I had an email from them earlier telling me that my £0 HMV purchase had tracked at £0. !!!!!! more complaining to be done.

I am far to mad and ashamed of myself at this moment in time to post properly but just wanted to quickly say thankyou for all your messages. I shall deal with the car tomorrow, can't face thinking about it just now.

I hope everyone has a much better start to the week... And Lula I seriously hope you get the wage situation sorted pronto! Cannot imagine how fuming you are,I know how it feels from the time I got all the money stolen out of my account it was pay day so I'd logged on to put all the money in places it needed to go. It's such a shocker to not have it there when you have plans for it...good luck!

Well I also am having a !!!!!! day! Everything was going fine until about 6:20 when I took my sister home and on the way back, as I was driving my radio switched off, rev counter went right down and milage reset  then it went back to normal, then 2 mins later did it again  So I got home turned the car off tried to switch it back on again and nothing.... just nothing.... Completely dead! boohooo hooo hooo hooo!

Does anybody have any idea what it could be? I really can't afford to pay another penny towards it

Hi Bowski, my 1st guess would be your alternator has gone.

Its basically a dynamo that takes over powering your car's electrics once the engine is running but its also supposed to charge the battery as well. If it stops working then your car will run on battery for a little while but it will flatten it fairly quickly then need to be trickle charged from your mains overnight.

The good news if thats it, is a decent auto electrician should be able to refurbish it fairly cheaply. I had one go on me about 4 years ago & got a mobile auto electrician out, He took it away, refurbished it & brought it back the next morning for £25.
