Thanks! I may have embarrassed myself by how excited I was thoughOh well. I've decided I'm going to start a 'Holiday fund' with it. I have at least a couple of trips abroad I need to take next year to see family/friends weddings and I'd quite like to fit in a city break or something 'for me', so I thought that would be a good use for it. Feels like a treat, but also something I need to find money for anyway.
Sounds like good news with the car then Bowski! I guess you just need to figure out a way to stop that ring from coming loose.
Lula - Keep going with the two jobs! You're doing great!
Sarahb - Have you tried taking vitamins? They might help get you feeling a bit better, especially as you haven't been eating much with being so ill and keep drinking loads. I never feel like drinking when I'm ill, but find that if I force myself it does make quite a difference.
This week feels like it's really dragging, over halfway there now though

I was really making an effort to remember to take vitamins before I was ill, need to get back into that again as I know the food I have been eating recently has not exactly been good for me.:o.

Hey ladies,
Gwen fab news! Just discovered online shopping through Quidco. How exciting. Town is mobbed and it's very wet so sitting in my pink dressing gown getting mum's present for bro is a revelation for me. I've never online shopped but think I may be a convert. Also saved him £7.80 by going online instead of instore. VERY MSE. Off to work. Post tonight when I fall in the door later (I'm on the late night today!)'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Hi guys
i need a bit of math help
i need to get a Wii like by tomorrow(so no online shopping for quidco) and i have 2 options both cost £179.99
tatco of course has the points- £3.58 which will come in handy whenever they get here.
But Currys apparently have a reserve and collect quidco 3% which is £5.40.
My main problem is which is better- if i go for currys via quidco the money will eventually get paid out (to my bank) where it will disappear into nothingness no doubt.
if i go for tatco points then at least the money is seperate and can be used in a meaningful manner on grocery (probably wine).
what to do?Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Ziggles sorry I can't help with your dilemma!
I've been away, went home for a few days to go to a gig with my sister, was absolutely awesome and totally worth the hassle. Unfortunately it did cost me a fair amount and my uni now wants £250 off me which I don't have
I'm working this weekend so should get anywhere up to £100 cash in hand but I depserately need to get my australian super payment back. I've lost the forms and am being a lazy git about finding them!

I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -
Ziggles I'm sure tatco is on quidco, worth checking anyway then you might get cashback and points.0

Ziggles, Tesco points are clearly the way forward! Everyone else: sounds like December is better than November? :j
I am sitting up in bed with the electric blanket on eating IKEA dark chocolate (49p for 100g), not because I am ill but because my shiny new £34 meat thermometer says it is 14C in the flat, and I [STRIKE]can't afford[/STRIKE] am too mean to put the heating on. :rotfl:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Glad most of us are feeling better. Esp like the lottery win Gwen!
Ziggles, can you get a deal on the tatco points? That would make them worth more than the quidco money.
Am still waiting for significant improvement in December I'm afraid. Did have very good day at conference yesterday, decided to skive a lecture to stay on today as there were still contacts to speak to, but that ended up costing £60 train ticket which I will lose tax on when I claim it back. And arrived home to email from former uni telling me that because I didn't tell them I was dropping out til now - that's because my tutor was supposed to be investigating my situation and letting me know whether I really had to drop out or not - I apparently owe them £265 for a module I'm not taking :mad:. Hoping this means something amazing will happen soon.
Tomorrow will be better...
