Just looking at Lynzpower's thinking about the payments priority..
The DFS 0% ends in October, so after that time it's going to cost around £70 a month in interest alone.

On a "whopping" salary month you have £150 to pay off Comet, leaving you £380 to pay off next month (on the basis that you appear to be paid on the 25th of the month and you said Comet was due before July 17th). Take care that it isn't one of those finance deals where they really sting you on interest if you don't settle before the end of the 0% period. Worth checking the terms etc.

Then 4 months to find as much of £2800 as you can, otherwise the interest alone will seriously hurt.

But getting back to the original thought re Lynz.. what are the exact respective APRs of Comet and DFS? With these, the decision Lynz was thinking of can be calculated properly.

    ......

PS Do you really think you can afford the move? Truthfully?

SC, regarding your nursery fees, how old is your daughter. If she's 3+ she will be entitled to the nursery education grant which is about 470 per term, for a full-time place (five or more sessions per week). You (the nursery claims and deduct it off your monthly invoice) should be able to claim this even if she's in a private nursery. Also do your company offer childcare vouchers? if not suggest it to them. Last year they were £217 per month, but have gone up in this tax year, not exactly sure how they are worked out but I'm sure someone out there knows. It has something to do with tax.

Ah right that looks better then. So in theory you could indeed pay off Comet all in one go next month, should it be the best way to go (depending on the post 0% APRS).
