Still a good deal at £600 if anyone has missed the boat - £400 was a mad price, not often tv's have 50% off (lol).
Maybe ASDA have realised they could have made a lot more.

it seemed to be manager's discretion - in store. we had to take a working tv - was going to the skip anyway. they took 100 off their in store price. their web is 15 cheaper than in store but they wouldn't take 100 off that. we pushed a bit to get that. i didn't post it in case it was a one off.

forgot to say - don't know if they did it officially but it was the same 100 trade in that sony offer

not all retailers do the trade in. eg asda! that's why i dont know if richer sounds did it officially, or not, for me.

Great find! Ive just called Asda Swindon Superstore (Orbital Pk) and they say no go and Andover Asda dont have any sony whatsoever! Soldier on!

They DO have them at Orbital, just full price on the shelves.

Thanks so much for telling everyone about this deal.
I phoned the Basildon branch who told me they had one left and would put it aside for me, when I got there they had made a mistake, they didnt have any left so they let me have the display model for £350!! They said I could have it as long as it came up as 'deleted' on their system, which it did, so ultimately i've paid £350 for a Sony 37inch TV.... BARGAIN!
Couldnt be happier!!! Thanks again!
