I find that comment deeply offensive...a very close friend of mine committed suicide by hanging herself...she was only 50, all because of money problem....maybe ` ninky` you would have consideration for others before you post such a throw-away comment as that.
I wish you well however & agreed we are all welcome to our opinions...lets hope that misfortune never strikes you & yours.

yes but it was the money problem that brought her down, not the fact she could go bankrupt. are you suggesting that by removing the option of bankruptcy you would reduce the suicide rate of those in debt? i don't think so.Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
On ninky......please give it a rest you really are starting to bore everyone now
everyone is entitled to post whatever they feel...BUT this isnt the place for your little one sided discussion thats what discussion time elsewhere is for in the forum
I can happily tell you a small handful of people who took their own lives due to not being able to cope with mounting debts and thats AFTER they took bankruptcy as a last option...this is really starting to get on my tits now you really have NO IDEA how bankruptcy and the lead up can effect a persons life..its certainly not the quick fix you seem to be thinking it is..i've been bankrupt now nearly 3yrs had a number of hospital admissions and still the shame hangs around me for what I did
I suggest you take your head out of your backside and have a look around the real world once in a while...who knows you might learn somethingWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

Ninky,
This isn't me having a go or trying to be clever. But in your opnion would you prefer the same BR rules that are in Iran to apply here too?

okay, it wasn't me that went through people's past posts just to find something to use against them. i original posted to provide support and advice - which was "it's maybe not as bad as you think". clearly, however, this is not a popular stance around these parts....Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
Soooooooo how does a post including the words "we should thank our lucky stars" and "bankruptcy is not a life threat" either help or support ANYONE going through the bankruptcty or indeed debt process? We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

i've already stated that no i wouldn't.
my personal preference would be for a massive clampdown on lending - i'd like to see very little lending or debt allowed. then people wouldn't need to go down the bankruptcy route at all. it's still far too easy to get credit cards and loans. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
said like a true troll.......and then dissapears to another thread to moan
