nothing to lose by submitting an application
They only perform an ID check
I have applied for the account online. I have printed the paperwork and posted today. I called Coventry BS just to confirm which forms of id were accepted and I'm sure they would have said if the account was not available? I shall keep you posted:money:0 -
I applied last night and just had a phone call from them saying that they would not be able to open the account as it was withdrawn.
Apparently they have been in touch with :money: to rectify this post.
I would expect others who applied to also receive the same phone call.
Shame. They should re-introduce the account; it's clearly popular.0 -
I already hold one from 2009 but just applied again inputting my existing account number.
As an existing customer and not a new one, I should be allowed to apply I think
I'll keep you posted with progress or decline.
Just had call saying it's an error; the link should be removed.
Oh well. Shame.0 -
Snap - Same hereDavid
£1 of debt is too much for me!0 -

link removed - wouldn't it be easier for Coventry BS to remove the link from its website if it doesn't want people to apply for the accountHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Why not open a Coventry First account as that also has a VISA debit card?0

Contray to the last couple of posts on this thread. I am pleased to say I have received my Cashlink card today and now have a Callsave Money Manager account with the Coventry:j
I sent the application form off at the beginning of the week and received my account details in the post yesterday. :money:
If any one is thinking of calling them today to check if the account is available, I am afraid they are closed due to the merger with Stroud and Swindon.0 -
That's not the same. This is a callsave 2 account with visa debit card not cashlink cards0
