No account still available. abit hard to find.

    • Click on Savings
    • Account Finder - drop down menu - click Money Manager and go
    • You will have an option to apply for Callsave or Branchsaver Money mangager accounts.
Both are same accounts and it comes with a Visa Debit Card. Pretty sure they dont do any credit check , just an identity check. I know someone who has recently opened up this account and who has a poor credit history.

Both of those accounts offer the cash-link (cash machine) card, not Visa Debit. The key difference with the MoneyManager (v2) was the debit card.

Yes you are correct. No mention of Visa Debit card anymore. They must have updated the website in the last couple of days.

Opened one of these Coventry accounts, they were quick to set it up, a bit too quick I think. They opened it with the wrong Date of Birth (my fault it was incorrect on the application form) But when i sent off my passport they should have noticed that it was not the same, but they didn't. Received a debit card today, cant use it now cause i can't verify my details to get a pin sent out. Have to now send off the ID again cause they didn't keep a copy of it ! What sort of bank doesn't keep a copy of your ID i thought it was the law for money Laundering.
  • Does anyone know why they suddenly changed this account to an ATM card?

I opened mine in time for a debit card, But I do wonder what's going to happen when it's time for a replacement :-/

Maybe the sudden influx of all the people from here all applying for it at once? Perhaps they limit accounts.

    Why would they do that?

    More accounts=more money/desposits from customers :p

Anyway, there are other basic bank accounts offered at high street banks anyway. The only downside is the interest rates, it's either 0% or 0.10%.

Because they are a much smaller organisation than other high street banks. Look at the opening times of thier call centre, closed at 6pm Saturday & 4pm Sunday.. That should be your first clue.

    Fair enough.

Bank accounts are better when opened in high street banks anyway. They offer more vareity too. Building socities are better for savings.
