I blame the postal strike  Got the form to fill in my password but I did it wrong and put a numeral instead of spelling out the number in my password for example: test1 instead of testone so they sent me another form so will give it a bit longer to let the post catch up.
  • I also have online banking up & running. The only problem is my card doesn't work.

The first thing i did was change the pin to a number i can remember and it's never worked since. I now have to have a new pin sent out because i can't use it for purchases or at cashpoints & when i called they said a number of people are reporting that as soon as they change thier pin number the card stops working.

If it still doesn't work when they send my new pin then i might scrap the account because it's no use having a card that doesn't work. You would think that if this was happening to other people then there must be a problem with the card chip.

Can't do anything until the pin arrives but as i said if it still doesn't work then it's not much use to me.

That's one problem I havant had and I changed my PIN as well, if it's any help I changed mine at a HSBC Cashpoint, it's were I change most of my pins, the only exeption is cards without a chip which need to be changed at the banks own cashpoints.

Quite right, banks have got this country into a mess.Best way to reward greedy bankers is to close your accounts with them.

The only problem I've had with my card is that when I tried to change my PIN it would say that it had been changed but actually hadn't. Tried it at a few ATM's but the same kept happening. Luckily we have a Coventry branch in town so I did it at their ATM and it worked fine :)

I think changing a PIN can only be done at the a particular banks ATM (in you case Coventry), and not any other ATM. If you have a card at LTSB, and want to change the PIN, it could only be changed at LTSB.

The letter that comes with the PIN states any LINK ATM.... But like I said, it wasn't that much of an issue

Well that will be what happened to me then. It said it was changed but it wasn't and when i called them they said it has been reported by a number of customers but they don't know why it is not changing the pin number. I destroyed the old pin because i had changed it & the machine said it was changed but obviously it wasn't. I couldn't remember the old pin so i couldn't use it.

I live down south and we don't have any Coventry down here so i can't change it at one of thier own link machines. Hope i am not stuck with a card that doesn't work.
