Well that will be what happened to me then. It said it was changed but it wasn't and when i called them they said it has been reported by a number of customers but they don't know why it is not changing the pin number. I destroyed the old pin because i had changed it & the machine said it was changed but obviously it wasn't. I couldn't remember the old pin so i couldn't use it.
I live down south and we don't have any Coventry down here so i can't change it at one of thier own link machines. Hope i am not stuck with a card that doesn't work.
Try Changinig it at a HSBC machine, it worked for me that way.
Finally got online account access.
I think they only have 1/2 faster payments, seems if you send you payment after 8pm it doesn't arrive til the next working day.0 -

If you read the small print in the online banking it says that you have to send your payment before 8pm on a weekday 5pm on a saturday and 4 pm on a sunday for it to go in "straight away" or else it can take up to 24 hours.
I'm still waiting for the one i sent at 9pm last night to credit and its now nearly 12noon.
*For our purposes 'near real time' is defined as within 2 hours, although in certain cases this could take up to 24 hours depending on the time the transaction was made.0 -

You minsunderstand
Cov BS accept faster payments but you cant send them. What they mean by sending a payment before a certain time is that the payment will be processed that day (as a bacs) payment, if you miss that cut of time it will be processed as if you were doing in the next day.
So the payment you sent last night at 9pm will be processed today and will credit under the normal bacs 3 day cycle, so will be there thursday.
The 2 hour timescale you refer to is for payments coming in.
